If it is his third failed drug test, was it really Les' choice?

@BFeldmanCBS: If Tyrann Mathieu became ineligible bc of a 3rd failed drug test, he will not be able to play this yr at another NCAA school.

Assuming he has failed 3, I understand giving him a second chance after failing one, but how did he last past the second failure?

No one really knows. I just cant believe we never heard about a 2nd violation if he had one. And, what I was saying....he doesnt care who it is, even if its stuff that a player doesnt have to be kicked off for. He will kick them off. Example, our starting QB a few years ago, Ryan Perrilloux. Most coaches wont kick off their star players. My hat goes off to Miles.

Lol cause it took 3 failed drug tests to kick his star player off the team. Seriously? Most school he would be gone after 2 possibly even the first

LOL...your "hat goes off to Miles" AFTER THREE FAILED TESTS. You act like he had a choice...he didn't.

My hat would go off to him if he was canned after the first screw up, and even the 2nd. Miles deserves no praise in this situation...none.

Have you guys officially found it that he failed 3 drug tests. If so, post your link.

I heard via Twitter. I'd like to see a link as well. "Violation of team rules" is all they are saying.

IF he doesn't play for another NCAA team this year, well know the answer.

People on twitter are saying he failed 7 tests and other LSU starters failed tests also. I dont buy everything twitter says.

The AD said HE made the decision then took it to miles. Who agreed.

Well, after a whole 30 minute show about LSU on college football live.....didnt really learn much. But, the insiders act like he's looking for a new team for this season. So, maybe he didnt fail 3 times?!? If not, as I said........my hat goes off to Miles who kicked him off. The same has been said by many people from other schools, and ESPN. Many coaches wouldnt kick off their star players like Miles does. Miles aint afraid to suspend players for big games either.

Not definitive proof by any means.

Mathieu sat out the Auburn game last season, serving a one-game suspension for what, according to LSU’s drug policy, would have to have been his second positive drug test. LSU won 45-10.

Ummm, he was going to be the LSU starting QB who won SEC MVP in SEC championship game the year before sharing snaps. I think he was the #1 recruit in the nation or one of the top. And we know how bad LSU QB's after him were and what kind of records LSU had without him.
    Nice try.

And thanks fathobbit for a link about the last time being busted might of been his 2nd. But......I was asking for a link to the "AD" saying to Miles to kick TM7 off the team

His intelligence level was also on par with Terrelle Pryor. Be glad he got the boot.

RT @BrandonDunnNBC6: The decision to dismiss Mathieu wasn't on Miles. It was a school decision which Miles agreed with. #LSU

Les Miles said "He did everything he could to help Tyrann out!" The school had the final decision on the suspension and Miles agreed to it
