  Torrence DEFINITELY needs to come back IMO, because I totally agree with you. If he makes as much progress next year as he did this year, he'll definitely go in the first 3 rounds. He played well this year, a pleasant surprise.

  Substance? Heyward had one big game this year against a Penn State team with a very suspect offensive line (their fans will be the first ones to tell you that) and people have been anointing him as the next Reggie White. For the past few years, he has been one of the more inconsistent players. He has made me ask myself "will he or won't he finally break through?" consistently throughout the past two seasons. I need to see more out of Heyward before I would consider him to be a lock for four or five pro bowls.
  
  Gibson has been more of an impact player on the field than Heyward to this point in their careers, and has shown to be very versatile with his ability to drop in to coverage, something that Gholston was never very good at.

  The only three I can see leaving is Boren, Gibson, Heyward.
  
  OSU makes the JR's file for the NFL but none of them will be high except these guys.

  I really don't see both of our defensive ends leaving for a couple of reasons.
  
  1. There are quite a few defensive ends projected before them(Dunlap, Morgan, Hardy, Pierre-Paul)
  
  2. There are also quite a few defensive tackles outside linebackers projected ahead of them. I know these are different positions but there may be some overlap.

  el, I think Gibson will be drafted as an OLB so it would be that position ahead of him.

  I think we will see many of these players return next year as OSU will be in the hunt for a national championship. If the Buckeyes beat Oregon in the Rose Bowl, they will more than likely be ranked in the top 5 going into the season next year as they will be returning 17/22 starters. I think Tressel and company will be able to convince many of these young men to come back and win a ring that OSU has been needing to improve their image for the last couple years.

  What makes you think Gibson is a better pro prospect than Heyward? I disagree, I think they're both good pro prospects but if I had to give the lean to one I'd definitely say Heyward.

  I agree. He was the second most dominating defensive lineman I saw all year behind Suh. And that's saying something because that dude is an animal. I don't even think Gibson was the second best D-lineman we had this year. John Simon was.

  Cody was more dominant too. Heyward was about on the same level as McCoy from Oklahoma--which is very impressive.
  
  John Simon has All-American written all over him--watched him play a lot in high school and I knew he was going to be nasty at OSU, wasn't sure it was going to come this soon because of the depth but the fact that it did tells you a lot about him. His lifting numbers are off the charts.

  I hope Dane stays for his senior year. I think it'd be a huge mistake for him to enter the draft early. He's a tad small so he really needs to make a bigger name for himself if he wants a shot at the NFL, which I believe is a good possibility. Anyone else think he has a good shot at the NFL?

  ^Yes and he isn't leaving early. As stated before, Tressel basically makes all his juniors put in their paperwork...again, why wouldn't you? But yes, I do believe he can find a place in the NFL in the right kind of offense. He's a Wes Welker type player, those kind of guys are becoming big commodities in the league with the spread offense taking over.

  Some of you are going completely overboard here. This is not out of the usual for underclassman to do what these 10 players have done.
  The only 2 players I think "may" leave, are Heyward and Gibson. The rest will return, mark it down. They are just doing it to do it while its available, and get feedback from the NFL so they know what they have to work on. Nothing more.

  I still don't see the fascination with Heyward and Gibson. I am a diehard OSU Buckeye til I die, but their stats aren't that great. And they didn't face many big name tackles this year in the Big 10...
  
  Heyward was a monster against PSU, but looked below average the following week at Iowa. I don't think Gibson would be a good DE, but a better 3-4 OLB.

  Gibson will probably be dissapointed with the news he gets. I think he is a 2nd or 3rd round player, but he will go because he needs the $. Heyward I think will go in the first round.
  
  Heyward looked great against PSU because their line was awful. Iowa on the other had always has one the best coached lines in the country. I would have to look at the tape to see how he did and if he got handled or they just avoided him all game.

  Thaddeus Gibson- probably will go
  Cameron Heyward- I'd be surprised if he stayed. Especially after the year he had.
  Ross Homan- needs to return to prove that he's for real. probably gone
  Brian Rolle- probably could use another year. probably gone
  Chimdi Chekwa- won't go but OSU would be better if he did. he's the worst CB on the field every play he's in. won't go
  Devon Torrence- won't go.
  Brandon Saine- probably gone and will be missed. finally came around in the middle of this year. his numbers aren't impressive, but his workouts and combines will impress a lot of the right people and it will be worth it for him
  Dane Sanzenbacher- Really? I think he stays because his stock can't be that high.
  Bryant Browning- Vastly improved from last year, but not good enough. I think he returns.
  Justin Boren- If he's smart he'll stay for 1 more year, but he's probably high enough that he won't come back.

  Stranger things have happened. Players leave all the time that shouldn't.
  
  Ex: Ahmad Bradshaw from Marshall, Nate Davis from Ball State, Brian Hartline IMO, the list goes on

  I understand that guys leave early that shouldn't, but I'll comment on the guys you did mention.
  
  Ahmad Bradshaw is a solid NFL RB
  Nate Davis lost his coach (I think) and wasn't going to improve his draft grade
  Brian Hartline already graduated, was getting married and ready to move on with his life.
  
  Of the 3 you mentioned, I don't know if any of them would go higher than 5th round.
