2012 Transfers
-
Azubuike24It's debunked. Only for graduate transfers. He'll be clear to UK. As long as he enrolls in a program not offered at his school, which is one of the stipulations regardless.
-
MulvaJosiah Turner transfering from Arizona. Big loss for them going forward.

Azubuike24Alex Oriakhi to Missouri.
This is a huge addition to them.
They will have new faces, but they have 4 legit transfers.
Keion Bell, 2-time 1st Team WCC, 19 PPG in his 2 years at Pepperdine
Earnest Ross, 13 PPG at Auburn his Junior year
Jabari Brown, 5-star recruit (19th overall last year) from Oregon
Alex Oriakhi
Combine that with the return of Michael Dixon and Flip Pressey in the back court, and the return of previous starter Laurence Bowers (who missed last year with an injury), Missouri should be strong.
Definitely a top 25 team IMO, if not higher. -

He can play right away? -
Azubuike24Yes. He was a "free agent" per se. He was able to go anywhere right away because Connecticut was put on probation.
-
Midstate01That seems unfair. But awesome get for mizzou.
-
Azubuike24Only the guys with 1 year eligibility left were granted immediate releases. The others (Lamb, Drummond) were not given the same option.
Similar to what happened with USC and OSU in football. -

MulvaPressey/Brown/Dixon is a legit backcourt.

Wait you're telling me Simon could have transferred from osu penalty free this season?? I hadn't heard that. Not saying its incorrect. But never heard that mentioned. -

Pretty good pickups. They and SDSU sure did pick up alot of transfers and/or good recruits.Azubuike24;1143820 wrote:Alex Oriakhi to Missouri.

Great athlete. Not much of a basketball player. Reminds me of a kid a few years back that transferred out. -
ytownfootballIt will be ponied about like he was the "next big player" that never got a shot because Matta didn't use his bench yada yada yada, but the dude didn't do what he needed to when it was required, that simple.

Ross, Oriakhi and Bowers is a better front court than this year. It was basically Ratliff and Moore (who was just a big body).Mulva;1143881 wrote:Pressey/Brown/Dixon is a legit backcourt.
Not saying it will be a #2 seeded team, but I definitely think Mizzou will be legit by conference play once everyone gels together. -

Good move on his part. I never thought he would get much time at OSU until maybe his sr year, and that as a role player. He just never improved much. He is a tweener. Not big enough to play inside, and a terrible perimeter shot, which limits him playing outside. Mid major is best place for him. Wish him luck.ytownfootball;1144009 wrote:It will be ponied about like he was the "next big player" that never got a shot because Matta didn't use his bench yada yada yada, but the dude didn't do what he needed to when it was required, that simple. -

With DT coming back logging 34 minutes at the 4 he didn't stand a chance...he can dunk pretty nice, that's about it.centralbucksfan;1144031 wrote:Good move on his part. See ya', and good luck. He'll end up playing at a MAC school and have some success--I'll say either OU or Akron.ytownfootball;1143999 wrote:J. D. Spoon headed out of Cbus, no info other than that yet via CBS tweet. -

Where he should have gone in the first place. Good kid, hope he excels.vball10set;1144093 wrote:See ya', and good luck. He'll end up playing at a MAC school and have some success--I'll say either OU or Akron. -
SportsAndLadyHe won't have much success even at the MAC level...he's just not good

Actually, he would do well. He is a freak athlete who could get away with things at MAC level for the most part.SportsAndLady;1144162 wrote:He won't have much success even at the MAC level...he's just not good -
Azubuike24Ohio State is in the Final 4 with Rodney Hood. Duke, Florida State, Cincinnati and Ohio State. He would pair super nice with Laquinton Ross and Aaron Craft in 2013.

MulvaDuke doesn't seem like a fit. Hood seems like an FSU kind of guy, but I'd love to see him with the Buckeyes.
