NCAA Tournament: Third Round Random Chatter

Nothing wrong with slapping the wrist over and over...as long as you are cool with the foul called, there's nothing wrong with it.

Barnes and Zeller not playing very well, but Carolina is getting great games from Marshall, Bullock, and Henson.

    Good thing Henson is back.

    They're 20 minutes.

McAdoo has played well tonight. Really like how he is progressing.

His growth has been nice. I wish we still had Dex. This season would be coming together perfectly.

If Henson, in my opinion Carolina's best player, starts consistently playing with the type of fire he displayed after that early incident today, and the rest of the team follows suit (something Roy doesn't always get his guys to do for whatever reason), I don't think the Heels would lose in a rematch against Kentucky. They've always been the most talented team in the country this year, it's just a matter of UNC's players finding that place from deep within that will simply not allow them to end the season without a banner. A gun couldn't stop this team. The only thing that could prevent this team from cutting down the nets is the absence of will.

Carolina is on a title train to a championship and it makes me sick.

Barnes certainly can fill it up quick. 8 points in about a 2 minute span.

    Nice win for the Heels.

Marshall might have a problem with his arm/hand. If he's actually injured, I'm gonna need medical attention.

Lol. I was actually being serious, though. Aside from the a gun couldn't stop UNC part, which was absolutely a hidden ploy.

All reverse psychology aside, my gut feeling is that Carolina returns to New Orleans 30 years later and wins. If it's Kentucky waiting on the other side, I just can't see Roy Williams allowing the state of North Carolina to lose to the Wildcats again. As I said, just an instinctive feeling. The Heels have the most talent of anybody. It's always been just about them truly wanting it. Hence the double-digit mishaps against Vegas and Florida State.

Florida is just plowing Norfolk State...

Marshall has fractured right wrist. FUCK this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim Nantz just ruined my night.

They can still beat Kansas and whoever comes out of the EAST region, but it just got a LOT tougher. He was the difference in case of a re-match though.
  • SportsAndLady
UNC is toast now, you just can't lose Kendall Marshall.
  • Azubuike24
He's gonna play. It is non-shooting hand.

Yeah. But he won't be as effective.

Are you sure? I saw on twitter it was his shooting hand

He's got a broken wrist, as an up-tempo PG...

It's not the shooting I'd be worried about. Just don't see anyway he can be effective.
  • ironman02
Not his shooting hand, but he won't be able to handle the ball as well...or really do anything as well.

I can't believe this. McDonald, Strickland, Henson, Marshall. Just bullshit!
  • Laley23
    Its his right wrist.

If OSU makes it to the Final Four, I don't see UNC beating them w/o Marshall.

I could even see Syracuse, with their zone, beating UNC.

I dont see it either. Im saying the only team they CANNOT beat is UK. The others, they can still beat on a good day.

Scott Drew was recruiting D.J. Cooper after his Freshman year at OU (after his NCAA Tournament performance).

    Interesting article...
