NCAA Tournament: Third Round Random Chatter

Carolina had a chance to put this game away already, leading by 15 on two separate occasions. However, as usual, they didn't go in for the kill. Creighton is hanging around, and could certainly make a game of this. The Heels' shot selection down the stretch was atrocious also.

No doubt that #10 for Creighton was intentionally trying to slap Henson's wrist. You don't "swipe at the ball" three times quickly and then wink at the bench after you're done by accident, just as Laley said. Hopefully Carolina stays pissed off, focuses, and beats this team's ass for it in the 2nd half.

Should have been flagrant 1 for sure. If you get a flagrant for the elbow "swing through", which is actually a basketball move, than that should have been. Green looked like he was waving a teammate to do something. I dont think he was pushing the guy away or anything. Contact was made though, but there was also major flopping going on after the contact.

    He winked at the bench?

Yes, they caught him winking on camera. It's not the Carolina homer in me either. Laley mentioned it too.

Looked like a flop on the replay. He got him with the forearm but not with excessive force.

Thing is, if they did it once, twice...they'll go for the wrist again. That's their best chance of winning, quite frankly.

    Winked at bench or teammate.

Oh yeah. It was briefly caught on camera, and Nantz mentioned it right away.

How the hell do you miss this? lol

The officiating in this tournament is laughable.

    lol jesus

Also, while the upsets are nice, sometimes they just kill the tourney in subsequent rounds. Mizzou Florida wouldve been a great game. This game blows donkey dick.

I saw that and immediately said something. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah, that Zeller play was bad. I didnt see the dirty play of it live, but did see it as a foul. But on replay, holy fuck. Truck stick'd his ass.

Thats why the 10-11-12 upsets are better. Those teams can usually hang in the next game as well, and even win. 14 and 15 usually get blown out of the water. 13s are a crapshoot.

Missouri fans have to be so pissed right now.

Yeah. I actually watched halftime of UNC-Creighton over Florida-Norfolk St.

And btw, these halftimes are forever.

I don't think slapping a guys wrist, that is hurt, is dirty. If a rb has a bum ankle, everyone who tackles him is going for it. And that's not dirty. So I don't get the difference.

    The other play, THAT'S dirty!!

Doing it once is one thing. Doing it multiple times and then winking at your bench, is a bitch move.

If you say so. But pretty sure you'd be wanting your team to do the same thing. Though obviously you'll say you wouldn't.

Football is a game where you need to hit people to make a play. In basketball, what you are doing is illegal within the rules. That is a pretty big difference.

Not to mention, its after the whistle.
  • Midstate01
Guess we will just have to disagree because I think there's nothing wrong with it. And he was slapping three second time as the whistle is blowing. It's not like he waited 5 seconds then hit him again.

Most emotion out of Henson I think I've ever seen.

U think they are bad just watching TV. You should be at the games. The TV timeouts and halftimes are ridiculously long. It was brutal!

I know the Media TO is now 2:30 instead of 2:00 for the tourney. Is halftime longer than the regular season (15:00) as well? They seem to be well over 20 minutes.
