Notre Dame 2012

Laley23Id say 8-4 is most realistic. 7-5 is doable, but would not be good for BK. 9-3 is also doable and would be great for BK. Anything over 10, and ND is looking at being preseason contender for the national title (since they will get their 3 toughest games with 1st year starting QBs in 2013...OKL at home, USC at home and UofM on road).

athlete37I, and the Vegas odds for next year, agree with everyone except Durkie so far. I could see us beating Michigan State, but could also see us somehow dropping to Michigan, BYU, or Miami (I don't see us losing to Navy or Stanford though). Oklahoma will be a tough game and I expect to lose, but stranger things have happened. USC should be uggo. We are VERY VERY questionable in the secondary and Matt Barkley, Robert Woods and Marquise Lee might be the three BEST players in the nation-- REGARDLESS of position... Doesn't bode well

The EqualizerHaving faith in my team is one thing but being able to live with myself is another. I'll see you on the av and sig but no way am I drinking a fruity's fruity.

I honestly think Stanford could be a sleeper team this year, they have got good players still and a great system, they should bounce back from losing luck better than say a Baylor would losing RGIII.athlete37;1199223 wrote:I, and the Vegas odds for next year, agree with everyone except Durkie so far. I also think Stanford is here to stay, they have had very good recruiting classes lately. They will continue to reap the benefits of Andrew Luck for years to come.OneBuckeye;1199386 wrote:I honestly think Stanford could be a sleeper team this year, they have got good players still and a great system, they should bounce back from losing luck better than say a Baylor would losing RGIII. -
killer_ewok"@ChiTribHamilton: As completely expected, ABC or ESPN will broadcast #NotreDame at USC on Nov. 24. Kickoff still TBD. Guessing 7pm or 8pm ET."
It'll be 8:00 pm on ABC. -

Michael Floyd
Manti Te'o
Kyle Rudolph
Jimmy Clausen
Victor Abriamiri
Sam Young
Stephon Tuitt looks like he's well on his way to "panning out."
Those who didn't "pan out:"
James Aldridge
Dayne Crist
So once again, you show the world how ignorant you are. -
karen lotzJust saw a couple things on twitter that ND will announce they will be joining the Big XII in everything except football around July 1.

WHAT??? -
karen lotzI dunno, couple people citing "sources" and a guy that has some sort of connection to the football program tweeted about ND, Louisville and FSU to the Big XII.
-
killer_ewokI'd be disappointed to be honest. If they're gonna join a conference, and I think they should, that conference should be the B1G.
-
sherm03Do. Not. Like.
-
karen lotzLOL wtfbbq, but sure how reliable it is but the one guy just tweeted it includes football.
"@ChatIrish: Very reliable source tells us at #ChatSports that ND to Big 12 includes football."
This guy has never broken any kind of news before so I don't know how good his source is. -
Crimson streakI doubt it
-
killer_ewok@ChipBrownOB: Sources in B12 tell OB Notre Dame moving Olympic sports into #Big12 becoming more and more likely. ... http://t.co/r0EsYb9n #ND #cfb
Read that link. Sounds like there might be something to the ND-Big XII rumor...down the road. -
karen lotzNot so fast says Swarbrick...

Chip Brown is one of the worst in the business in taking bad rumors and conjuring up these great ideas from them. -

Somebody I follow on Twitter retweeted what Brown tweeted and that's how I saw it. I didn't take it as a foregone conclusion but didn't know he was that unreliable.
That being said, who knows what to believe at this point. Swarbrick probably won't tip his hand regardless as he seems to play things close to the chest. -
karen lotzlinebacker out of WA Danny Mattingly ( nephew of Don) committed to ND after his visit.

Any time you pick up a linebacker from Washington who has an offer from Alabama, it's a good thing. If Alabama feels the need to go all of the way to practically Idaho to try to get him...he's gotta be unreal athletically.
Notre Dame's class now ranks:
247 - #6
Rivals - #9
Scout - #3 -
Crimson streakI hoping for anzalone too. And another corner or 2 and it will be a great class

karen lotzccrunner will enjoy this:
Irish Illustrated ‏@NDatRivals
If you're curious, Mattingly commit keeps Irish No. 9 in Rivals team rankings. ND may lead nation in 3-stars on verge of adding a fourth. -
sjmvsfscs08I thought the same thing.
I think everyone but Matuska is a four-star guy. And even Matuska is a four-star guy on two services.
I'm really, really impressed by this staff's recruiting this year. Last year's class fell off about as badly as you can imagine and three (right?) coaches moved on and they said "fuck it.." and went to work. It's been cool to see. -
sjmvsfscs08Add an ILB from Miami. Michael Deeb.
The class is up to #3 in the country on 247, and that's before guys like Mattingly, Montelus, Onwualu, Butler etc get their expected bumps.
Only 4-6 spots left. Need 1) one punter, 2) 1-2 LB's, 3) 1-2 RB's.
