    drug use in the high schools around the "outer-belt" in the suburbs of Comubus is very high these days as is in the rural areas as well.a couple weeks ago a young man from Hilliard was sentenced to prison for attempted bank robbery so he could get the money to buy drugs as he was actually high when the attempt was made. recently Channel 4 in Columbus did a report about herion use in the Marysville school district. the video showed a 17 year old girl being injected with herion by someone, the video looked like it was done with a cell phone. parents neew to monitor their kids much closer these days and also the schools need to be more involved as well going much furhter than any DARE program. from what ive been told kids after completing DARE,5th and 6th graders< decide to try some of the things they are learning about in DARE like huffing.maybe its time DARE is taken out of the schools or possibly come up with some other type of drug awareness campaign that shows what can happen to you if you start !

    When I was in high school there was a kid who was driving high from huffing...wrecked and killed himself along with two others in the car..sad. Admittedly, I probably heard of huffing from one of those programs. I dont recall seeing or hearing about it other than while I was in high school or hearing about kids still in school doing it

    Lots of crime lately in Champaign County because of heroin addiction. No idea if harder drugs are more difficult to get hold of then pot.
