Michigan Recruiting 2013

LOL no I don't go other teams boards at all unless someone links to them.

I follow the right people on twitter, much faster and more reliable.

Just giving you shit. That's twice today I put the computer down and someone commits and you post it. :p
  • WebFire
Hell, in all the fury, I missed that Chris Fox also committed.

Great time to be a Michigan fan. With LTT being a huge Michigan lean I wonder if they take any more O-linemen? Maybe Hoke will change his strategy from last year and just take who he likes and possibly turn down a guy like LTT if he isn't willing to commit until the all star game.

I'm sure they'd take a 4th OL. Hoke and Co. love the OL and DL. With that though, this class will not be as big as the last, so they will likely be a little choosier on who they take.

4* OL Brendan Mahon (6-5, 302) from NJ received an offer earlier this week from Michigan. Could be a center prospect.
  • WebFire
Also, on alert for a possible Jake Butt committment.
  • stroups
Jake Butt RT @bigjakeyB_1: To silence the rumors, I have not committed to michigan but I might soon
  • WebFire
He's been tweeting all day. What did we do before Twitter?
  • WebFire
He told a Rivals guy he isn't committing today.

    Jake Butt committed.

Damn you! I can't even make dinner without missing a commit! :D

    Not that I'm complaining.

I know they would take 4, what I was trying to say is what if another OLineman commits before LTT? They can't really take 5. They end of last year's class it appeared Hoke decided to wait on the top guys, judging by the offers still coming in it seems like they aren't interested in waiting around this year.

Oh, sorry. Didn't catch that part of it. If Kozan were to commit, I think they'd be done at 4. But that seems unlikely. So they MAY take a 5th. At this point I'd need to see what needs are left. I think we'll know the answer to your question later as it becomes more clear how many kids they are taking. 20ish seems to be it now, but it's early.

    What a weekend!! Go Blue!!!!

Great weekend for tsun. I really would've liked OSU to get charlton, fox, and Bosch. Looks like hoke is putting together a great team. Scary to think what he can do with this talent.
  • WebFire
    Holy shit.

Very good O line haul but I trust the coaches passing on Taco. We have a limited number of scholarships and I have read from a lot of people that they have been unimpressed with his play. He defiantly looks the part but I have read that he plays soft.

That's the most exciting thing for Michigan fans. See what he did with the talent this year, and you can only grin from ear-to-ear about the future.

With Shane and this Oline class they better land 2 of the top 20ish receivers in the country.

Ty Isaac's tweet tonight was "wow". Now of course, that could be referring to anything in the world, but I'm hoping it's about the weekend haul. :)

Obviously a great weekend for Michigan. However, I'll be even more impressed if Hoke can keep them over the next 11+ months. I'd be surprised if all four OL remained committed. I see Bosch as the most likely detractor.

Doesn't that apply to every school/coach?
