Back to back games Buford came through in the clutch.

Matta gonna rip into these fools.
I just can't believe how sloppy they were. I mean, how many airballs were there?

Spot on, sloppy. Having Craft sitting on the bench for long stretches certainly doesn't help the D.

+1 Never thought I would ever say that.

Early in January we lose this game. These ones are the difference in the B1G

Didn't matter that he was on the bench. He didn't play very good defense tonight either.

Thomas was looking funny, swinging his long ass arms around, not doing shit.

I kinda wanted to see more Sam Thompson during that stretch with Sully and Craft sitting.

I am just glad to see Buford playing up to who he is supposed to be. If he can carry on through April, lookout. I give him shit all the time because I think he is better than he plays a lot of the time.

They never brought any intensity on d until the last 4 minutes. That includes craft. He played very poorly tonight.

Buford really stepped up. And we needed it!!!!

Yes Buford comes through 2 straight games in the clutch. Hopefully this is coming out party and carries this into the tournament. He is finally playing like a senior instead of the freshman.

I can't remember the last time I saw Buford rubbing off a screen confident he was going to knock down an 18 footer. Thats his game. He was pure today.
  • Automatik
The shots are just falling for Buford. He was always getting decent looks.

It'd completely change things for this team if Buford can hit shots.

Yes it would and Thad needs to continue having him on the same side as Sully. It will cut down on the double teams.

This. It was painful to watch Scott try to feed Sully. His defender was backing 8 feet off of him.

I was saying to a friend earlier today that I hope that the big 3 he hit at the end of the game against Wisconsin on the road is the turning point for him. Well he looks good so far. I hope he can do that in March when it matters.

Better yet, why am I even responding to your stupid fucking troll ass?

Keep my name outta your posts, bitch.
This isn't 5th grade. The point of the game isn't to hold hands and sing Kumba-ya while everyone plays up to their abilities. Buford is a top 15 player in CBB this year, you're just a blind hater. Did Buford bang your girlfriend or something? LOL

Buford just needs to play cocky.. Point blank.

That fricken Byrd shot better than he's used to, but our top of the key switches on D have to be better, Sully didn't look good out there tonight, got left looking too many times. Practice should be fun the next couple days. I wouldn't expect teams to hit like they did tonight against us but you can't count on it.

WB44 outta the slump for now, hope that continues.

Byrd has been shooting a good percentage, but other teams have not allowed him to get open looks. OSU needs to shore up the 3 point defense. Sullinger was exposed , but Purdue was playing small forcing him to defend on the perimieter.

8-12 and 7-9 from tre is beyond what he's been getting open or not, I guess that's my point. We need to lock out the three better that's for sure. We've benefited from sub-par shooting from there quite a bit this season so maybe a little scare won't hurt.
  • Prescott
He was hot, but he was getting open looks. He did hit the one 3 fading away with Smith in his face.It will give Matta something to refer to at practice.

Have to think this game was a trapper from the start. Can't let that happen.

lol--I was half right...anyway, trap game loss averted, but if we want to make a run in the Big Dance, we need to get back on track defensively--that had to one of the weakest defensive games I've seen by the Buckeyes in quite a while. However, I'm sure Matta will address that and get it straightened out, and I look for a much better effort on Saturday.

Glad to finally see Buford playing like he should've been playing all year. He didn't look anything like the player he's been the last 10 games or so. He needs to stay consistent though, if this team is going to make a deep run in March. OSU had to work harder than they should've, but you'll have games like that every so often.

Having a multitude of players on the floor who at any moment can take the game upon themselves is a luxury only a few teams have. OSU with the 7 point run by Buford illustrated why they are a NC contender last night.

I don't read too much into the defensive effort and how close the game was at home, it is a league game. Anything can and will happen when playing in conference. (i.e.@ Illinois) Great win for the Buckeyes, good job of closing down the stretch.
