vball10setIMO, one of the glaring weak spots for the Buckeyes is our foul shooting. If we can't get more consistent from the charity stripe, it WILL come back to haunt us.

There's no such thing as garbage time against the top 3 point shooting team in the country.LJ;1053972 wrote:He was -2 in turnovers. How is that calling it even? lol -

Apparently he is great at hitting shots in garbage time -

Pretty frustrating...would like to see better effort here for sure.vball10set;1053974 wrote:IMO, one of the glaring weak spots for the Buckeyes is our foul shooting. If we can't get more consistent from the charity stripe, it WILL come back to haunt us. -

Whatever excuse you wanna make for him. He wasn't the absolute liability he has been in the past few weeks, but he definitely wasn't the 3 year starting sr he is supposed to beytownfootball;1053978 wrote:There's no such thing as garbage time against the top 3 point shooting team in the country. -

I am not making "excuses" for him, just pointing out that he did more than contribute and your first quote is pretty much a falacy. lolLJ;1053985 wrote:Whatever excuse you wanna make for him. centralbucksfanUnreal, get back from the game, OSU DRILLS IU, yet we have whinners on here bitching. Are you kidding me? If OSU plays defense as they did in the first half of this game, they could win out. No, that wont' happen. But I saw HUGE improvement. They responded. Which is what you want. Some of you expect perfection. Please, its sports. Temper your unrealistic expectations. Great game today!

He had 28 and 9 against Northwestern on December 28th.LJ;1053966 wrote:He hit the 2nd 3 in garbage time and had 4 turnovers. Pretty sad when that is his best game since November -

BTW, Buford was NOT that bad. He didn't shoot well. But rebounded and had a handful of asst. Played good defense. More importantly, he didn't force things today. He was "ok". -

He is suppsoed to be the "leader" and the "scorer". He was ok, but he hasn't lived up to anything he is supposed to have been this year in the past few weeks.ytownfootball;1053992 wrote:I am not making "excuses" for him, just pointing out that he did more than contribute and your first quote is pretty much a falacy. lol -

His turnovers were in garbage time. If things like 3pt shots don't count in garbage time, then turnovers shouldn't either.LJ;1053966 wrote:He hit the 2nd 3 in garbage time and had 4 turnovers. Pretty sad when that is his best game since November -
Midstate01Buford hasn't been shooting well, but he hasn't let it affect the other parts of his game. So I'm ok with him, I know he will get hot at some point.

According to who? Never heard Matta say that. Maybe thats you coming up with that. I agree, he is struggling SHOOTING the ball, no question. But he is doing other things. Things that in the past, he wouldn't have done.LJ;1054003 wrote:He is suppsoed to be the "leader" and the "scorer". Except his turnovers have all been coming at the same time, at the end of games. That's an issue.centralbucksfan;1054004 wrote:His turnovers were in garbage time. If things like 3pt shots don't count in garbage time, then turnovers shouldn't either. -

The problem is when he is struggling shooting, he just keeps shooting, and then he is a liability. He needs to learn to give it up more when he is off. -
centralbucksfanLJ, seriously. U are the WORST kind of fan. NEVER happy with anything. OSU just drills a VERY good team, yet you are on here bitching. Give it a rest. Its basketball. Never seen a guy play a perfect game in my life. Players have slumps. Its far from a perfect science. And this comes from me, someone who has been highly critical of Buford in the past. What I see now, is that although he is struggling shooting the ball, his effort and other areas are not being affected. Which in the past, they were. His shot will come.

Thats not a problem. He is a damn good shooter. Shooters shoot. I'll gaurantee, Matta is telling him to keep shooting. Every coach in America would be doing the same. I have a problem when he forces things. Today, he didn't. Shots he took, were all good shots.LJ;1054012 wrote:Me? No.

ytownfootballHe was 5/12 and 2/5 from three...that's just not terrible.

I'm typically very happy with good performances. I just don't see the scoring that Buford needs to have in order for this team to go deep. We've had a few years of B1G titles, it's time for an NCAA title and it's time for the fans to start expecting that. Hell, I would be happy with an elite 8 and ecstatic with a final four this year. Buford needs to either hit his shots, or give the ball up more.centralbucksfan;1054016 wrote:LJ, seriously. U are the WORST kind of fan. NEVER happy with anything. Where did I say he was terrible? I said it ended up being one of his best game he has had in a while. He just isn't shooting the way he has needed to, or given the ball up.ytownfootball;1054020 wrote:He was 5/12 and 2/5 from three...that's just not terrible. -

You think Matta told him to take the final shot in the UK game last year when he was off all game? Or the final shot on Dec 31 when he was off all game? Or too keep shooting at Illinois when he was off instead of feeding it to Sully?centralbucksfan;1054018 wrote:Thats not a problem. He is a damn good shooter. Shooters shoot.
