Ohio State @ Indiana 12/31/11 6 PM

OneBuckeyeShould be a good game. Indiana is coming off a loss at MSU, their confrence home opener. OSU needs to play well in the hostile environment. OSU - 84 IU -72.

se-alumReally lookin' forward to the Sully/Zeller matchup. If Buford shows up, the Bucks should win, but if he pulls a Kansas/UK, it could easily be a loss for the Bucks.
-
vball10setgonna' be a battle--Sully needs to body up and play physical with Zeller, and with Craft all over Hulls, we should be okay....OSU by 14

Buford had a bad game against UK, but he did have 21 against Kansas.se-alum;1030196 wrote:Really lookin' forward to the Sully/Zeller matchup. If Buford shows up, the Bucks should win, but if he pulls a Kansas/UK, it could easily be a loss for the Bucks. -

On 8-23 shooting, with most of his points in the 2nd half.FatHobbit;1030209 wrote:Buford had a bad game against UK, but he did have 21 against Kansas. -

I forgot about that. I watched the game at a restaurant on a tiny tv that was too far away. Lol. It wasn't his best game.se-alum;1030232 wrote:On 8-23 shooting, with most of his points in the 2nd half. -

Actually, I can't be too hard on him for this game. The first half, he didn't show up. But he kept OSU in the game, brought them back. Thomas was great in the first, and disappeared in second. Blame could easily go on him as well. Bottom line is, with Sully, both would have had many more better looks in this game.se-alum;1030232 wrote:On 8-23 shooting, with most of his points in the 2nd half.
When the big 3 show up, OSU is extremely tough to beat. Thomas has been pretty consistant all year. We know what we will get from Sully. Buford is the player who does tend to disappear at times. If he plays with the aggressiveness he did against NW, OSU can roll anyone.
As for this game vs IU. I'll be honest, this game worries me. Having watched IU, I have been impressed with them. They do lack depth, but that starting lineup is pretty solid. And they effort they play is second to none. IU is a streaky team offensively. OSU defense will have to be on top of its game. This game will be a battle and a close one IMO. -
MulvaOSU is way, way more talented. But very untested on the road. Would be nice to come out strong and shut the crowd up early.

About what I would expect from you.ccrunner609;1030686 wrote:Yeah ask Kentucky about that
Using that argument, I'd say Michigan State disagrees. -
Laley23I think the biggest matchup is actually Watford vs Thomas, not Zeller vs Sullinger. Whoever wins that battle will have the leg up, because I fully expect Sullinger to dominate Zeller and Hulls to score under 7 pts with Craft on him. But at home, I think IU will get the win in the matchup of Oladipo/Buford and Jones/??? Will be a wash. I admit I don't know the 5th starter. I think OSUhas the better bench since Will Sheehey is out for this game! But at home I think IUs will do enough to make that a wash as well.
That leaves the match-up I gave. So far! Watford has been a pro...but can it continue? He dominated Draymond Green and Terrence Jones, but has yet to face the repertoire of a guy like Thomas who can go inside and out even better than Terrence Jones.
Should be a good one, and I'll say that critical matchup I gave is close to even, which means the Bucks win by 8. -
ytownfootballI hate you 'till next year Laley, just so you know.

I'm crushed . Good think I'm out of town till the 2nd. This is likely my last post until then. I might find time from the iPad the day of the game, but probably not.ytownfootball;1030847 wrote:I hate you 'till next year Laley, just so you know. -
holdingoutThis game could go either way. Hoping Buckeyes pull it out but Hoosiers playing well right now, and are going to be tough to beat in Bloomington.

thavoiceI hope that when they watched film that Zellar took notes on the toughness of Watford in the last game. I mentioned it in the OOC games that Zeller is a tremendous talent, but doesnt yet know what kind of toughness he needs to be successful in the big ten, especially on the road.
tough to win at MSU, that is for sure. IU showed some moxy in coming back, but a couple of bad plays by a guy who wasnt ready for that stage, Elston, some bad luck (that toss up fg and one on the inadvertant trip) and an offense that all of a sudden took a page from the Mike Davis playbook really killed IU late.
Zeller will need to play tough. WIll have to see how IU matches up with Craft. The home crowd will def help the Hurryin' Hoosier and I am hoping they can eek out a win.
IF I had to place $$ on it...OSu wins by 7-10, but an I hope IU can pull it off. No more moral victories for this team after they beat UK. That mantra is overwith that they could have used the last few seasons by playing a good OSU team strong. Anything short of a W is a negative -

I thought the OSU win over Duke was pretty impressive. Just saying...ccrunner609;1031251 wrote:Who has the best quality win this season? Indiana beating Kentucky is more impressive then any OSU wins. -

So duke is now not an impressive team? LOL you are an idiot.ccrunner609;1031251 wrote:Who has the best quality win this season? Indiana beating Kentucky is more impressive then any OSU wins.
also, your signature is fucking retarded..."If Jimmy clausen is this team's quarterback, they'd be undefeated" -Tobias...is it that hard dipshit? -

That doesn't denote he said it at all..it's just a sentence. then a name. you literally are too retarded to talk tooccrunner609;1031336 wrote:First off, Kentucky was a top 2 team when an unranked Indiana beat them. OSU was ranked higher then Duke so Indiana win was more impressive.
Second, how is my sig retarded when that nuthugger actually said that shit. -
Terry_TateThe crowd for this game will be great, but nowhere near the Kentucky game. Its New Years Eve, so instead of the 7,000 or so students there will be maybe 2,000, but that is just a really rough guess. Ohio State wont play as bad as Kentucky did and as long as Indiana isn't hitting 3s at an over 50% clip I think Ohio State wins by 5-8.

WIN or WINS???ccrunner609;1031251 wrote:Who has the best quality win this season? Indiana beating Kentucky is more impressive then any OSU wins.
Indiana...Kentucky,Notre Dame,N.C.State...
Ohio St...Florida,Duke,South Carolina...
I'd give OSU slight edge in quality WINS. -

No, no they haven't. Of course, if you believe allowing their opponents to shoot 31.7% from behind the arc is "leaking", than yes, they are leaking.ccrunner609;1031471 wrote:OSU perimeter D may allow better then 50%.....they have been leaking on D against the 3 -
vball10setccrunner, go back to trolling the ND threads--you're not only annoying as hell, but your ignorance, as well as your grammar challenged posts, are giving me a headache. Please, go away.

OSU is giving up 34% against the 3, and only giving up about 5 threes a game. They had one poor half(1st half) that I can remember vs Florida. Since that time, they have played pretty darn good perimeter defense. As a matter of fact, I think this team is VERY underated defensively. They have two VERY good defenders in Craft and Smith Jr. that can lock down, period. And the rest are pretty solid as well. They are long and athletic. Vs NW, a team that can shoot the 3 very well, OSU gave them very few good looks.
