How long until Kelly leaves ND for another school?

SQ_CraziesIt isn't unique to ND fans, but ND fans define the word lately.

Could happen. You just never know.ccrunner609 wrote: I think ND will be 0-6 next year before winning one game.

They could be, looking at the schedule, but I wouldn't underestimate what a few guys that haven't played yet can do. They've got a lot of talent on that sideline--no matter how you look at it, they have a lot of highly touted high school players. Coaching could make a big difference.ccrunner609 wrote: I think ND will be 0-6 next year before winning one game. -

Thanks for playing though. Proof enough? I think so. Good dayThe University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, worth $101 million, is the most valuable team in college football. Unlike the other programs on our list, Notre Dame's athletic department operates under the umbrella of the university and is not run as its own distinct entity. As a result, a much higher share of profits are retained by university for academic use.
Since when did revenue mean anything? Look at profit, you know, the money they have after all expenses have been paid. Looks like Texas has the most money to pay their football coach, and is CLEARLY backed up by Mack Brown being the highest paid coach in college football.
Have a nice day! LOL
Maybe you should study more in school. Yes, Texas does make the largest profits, but having the largest profits doesn't make your team the one with the most money.
I could buy a house for $50,000 and sell it for $100,000 and I have doubled my money.
Does that mean I have more money than someone who bought a house for $100,000 and sell it for $110,000? Whose house is worth more?
In the article it states Texas' program is worth $92 million and has the largest profits. However, it also states that Notre Dame is the most valuable program valued at $101 million.
You may want a refund of your tuition money, school isn't helping you youngin'. Have a nice day. -

A lot of people have said that college football is better when Notre Dame is in the mix, but no one has given a good reason why. I disagree. I don't think college football needs ND.september63 wrote: Fair Enough!! Good Luck. As Ive also stated, college football is a better brand when ND is in the mix. The EqualizerIts for the same reason as Ohio HS football is better for traditionally strong schools to all be fielding good teams at the same time. I know you can definitely understand that example.

I'm interested to hear what you mean by ND not playing on a level playing field?ccrunner609 wrote: ^^^But the difference is that Ohio HS teams all play on a level playing field.
College football is like a bodybuilding competition, the teams are judged on who is the best and alot of people play favorites. ND doesnt play on a level playing field. -

College football certainly doesn't NEED ND, but it's better when they're good. They're a program with great history and a great and HUGE fan base.FairwoodKing wrote:

TiernanExactly cc...the TV contract alone gives ND a huge recruiting advantage and every college coach in the nation will confirm that. But even with that huge advantage they somehow manage to wallow in the pig sty of mediocrity. My take on that is the kids they are getting really do want to play for ND but these are typically the over-achieving type kids you see at Army, Navy, Stanford...etc. Smallish, slower type players who were damn good HS football players but just can't physically compete with the FL, AL, OSU, USC, TX, OK of the world. Sure they land a kid like Tate or Clausen every couple of years and then he gets mired down trying to carry the rest of the midgets on his back. Its actually kinda sad to watch.
-
rock_knutne^^^^^Yopur posts are sad to read, pathetic actually.
-
cbus4lifeHow does the TV contract give them an advantage? All the other top programs are on national TV a ton, on TV every weekend, albeit sometimes in the regional market, etc.
The whole "TV contract" argument is BS. -
TiernanC'mon cbus you really aren't that dense I know it...by essentially having their own weekly guaranteed network "show" so to speak...ND can (and does) emphatically tell recruits that Mom & Dad, teammates and all their homies can watch them every single game on TV bro. You don't think that is a powerful attraction to HS kids? The best college coaches in the nation have acknowledged this is a tremendous recruiting tool. Why do you think the Big Ten football coaches practically single handedly sold the idea for the Big 10 Network to cable providers? Nothing BS about it...but for some reason <and I believe its the academic standards argument>...ND gets alot of well behaved, graduation focused players...a great thing for the community at large but not so great if you want to win football games in the modern era. The reason I pick on them so mercilessly is because they refuse to accept who they have become and that is a lesser Stanford.

if you consider being in bcs bowls, being one play from playing in a title game, and sending players to the first round of the nfl draft this decade "sucking" then the list of the *non-sucking* schools must be virtually nonexistent...september63 wrote: Sooooooo ND has sucked for a decade? I think you forgot the NCAA record 9 consecutive bowl losses and the refusal to play in a bowl this year because you'd lose AGAIN. LOLrocket31 wrote:

I'm also still waiting for you to respond to my bet. I believe you had Ohio State crushing Oregon? I want in on that action. -

So if a team gets blasted in a BCS game...they didn't deserve to be there. Hmmmmmm....ok.ccrunner609 wrote: THey didnt deserve those games. You could tell by the huge curbstomping they took.
So that means that in 2001, #2 Nebraska didn't deserve to play for the National Title because they got beat in the Rose Bowl by Miami 37-14. So maybe #3 Colorado deserved it more. Oh wait! They got "curbstomped" in Fiesta Bowl 38-16. So they didn't deserve a BCS bowl.
In 2002, #5 Iowa didn't deserve a BCS bid...they got beat by USC in the Orange Bowl 38-17. And #6 Washington State didn't deserve their BCS bid because they got beat 34-14 by Oklahoma.
2004...#2 Oklahoma shouldn't have been allowed to play for the National Championship. They got beat 55-19. So by this logic they didn't deserve to be there.
Do you want me to bring up 2006? Because Ohio State must not have been deserving of playing in the National Championship game. I'm pretty sure they lost by the exact same score as ND did that year.
And if the 14 point loss that ND had to Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl is a "curbstomping"...then Ohio State took back-to-back curbstompings because they got beat by 14 in 2007 by LSU. You're right man...they don't deserve those BCS games!
So you see...teams lose big in BCS games. But as an OSU fan...you already knew that, right? Does that mean they don't deserve the bowl bid? No. Perhaps your problem shouldn't be with Notre Dame...but with all of the schools that have agreed to this system and agreed on the "Notre Dame Clause." -
