I saw something this week where he might be running for some political office in Texas. he'd win in a landslide just so no one would ever have to hear him call a game again. -

Skyhook79Well they got the play of the game right. The game changer that had 2 blocks in the back and a TD that should have been Georgia's ball. Georgia fell a part in the 2nd half.

Midstate01Funny that these guys say bama deserves to get in. Then IF it was a playoff format, they put okie st #2. Which is it???

Lol please keep upthe QQ in every thread. It's actually pretty entertaining.Skyhook79;999537 wrote:Well they got the play of the game right. The game changer that had 2 blocks in the back and a TD that should have been Georgia's ball. Georgia fell a part in the 2nd half. -
krambmanSomeone should tell Gary Danielson that in his playoff format we wouldn't ever have 30 teams alive with two weeks to go, and not three or four like we have now. The top four teams would likely already know they are going to the playoffs, so it would still only be a few teams fighting for the final few playoff spots. Look at any sport that has a playoff. With several games to go the top teams are already in and it's still just a small handful of teams that are still playing "meaningful" games trying to get in. Sure it gives more teams a chance to win the championship, but doesn't increase the excitement because it doesn't increase the number of teams trying to get in late in the season.

I think he said to get a top 2 seed and a bye, they have to be a conference champion in his idea for change. That's the only thing that knocked Bama to third in his scenario. -

Hmmmm maybe he did -
vball10setlol....imo, the SEC has two really good teams and a bunch of medicore/good teams---however, these two really good teams also happen to be the best two teams in the nation, and the way the BCS is set up, they should, and will be, playing each other.....GO 'BAMA

I don't see how it wouldn't. It wouldn't be 30 teams still thinking they could get in, but there would be more teams believing they could get into a 6 team playoff than a 2 team title game. It's basic math. Virginia Tech was #10 three weeks ago. You really think they thought they had a shot at the national championship?krambman;999549 wrote:Sure it gives more teams a chance to win the championship, but doesn't increase the excitement because it doesn't increase the number of teams trying to get in late in the season.
Every conference championship today would have had potential playoff implications instead of BCS implications. That would have been the only change. Even if that doesn't increase the excitement, it wouldn't take any excitement away. And then when the playoffs began the excitement would be greatly increased from where it will be for the BCS.
I actually liked the idea a lot. Reward the top 2 teams with byes, reward conference champs while not guaranteeing a bid to teams who end up undeserving, and use a selection committee instead of computers.
It still isn't perfect, but it lets teams settle things on the field without getting too bloated. -

That is incorrect, it would be an incomplete illegal forward pass from the 1 yard line. LSU would have the ball 1st and goal from the 6 yard line, but thanks for trying. Also, there were no block in the backs on that play, both questionable block were side blocks.Skyhook79;999418 wrote:If they would have done their jobs that would have been a touchback and Georgia's ball on the 20. smh at replay officials. -
supermanPretty sure it would have been ruled a fumble and a touchback.

Pretty sure that it is caught by the headlinesman standing on the goal line. So either the ball broke the ball before coming loose or it was a forward pass.superman;999616 wrote:Pretty sure it would have been ruled a fumble and a touchback. -

Skyhook79I was wrong about it being a touchback according to the rules its a 5 yd penalty however looking at the picture in the link it looks like he is tossing the ball backwards not forward.

The ball is ruled forward or backward depending on when it first touches another player, an official or the ground. His momentum is going to make a horizontal pitch go forward.Skyhook79;999715 wrote:however looking at the picture in the link it looks like he is tossing the ball backwards not forward.

cats gone wild4 or 5 pages ripping on LSU. And then its crickets. 42-10 fellas and undefeated. You guys always jump to conclusions early and LSU blows the teams out. Wait until the game is over before you make your stupid comments. You guys just wanna see LSU fail so bad and they have won 13 games this season. Must suck to be a fan of a team thats 6-6. Face it, LSU is #1 and has killed teams 11 out of 13 games.
If TM7 didnt get the fake Mary J suspension, he should of won Heisman. He is a game changer and a MVP. -
