S&L have you played football? And you coached football? Honest question, I'm wondering if you've ever been yelled at by a coach.

Not sure where you saw that, but his cousin passed away earlier today after getting hit by a car last week. I'd be kind of surprised if there were any updates tonight in regards to recruiting. He did say his final four was North Carolina, Notre Dame, Arizona, and Arkansas. They eliminated Oklahoma and Ohio State. His dad favors North Carolina and Notre Dame for the academics. They are trying to decide whether or not to take an official to Arizona this weekend, but I haven't seen an update on anything since news came out about his cousin.

I heard it awhile ago but I didn't know about his cousin. Yeah I don't expect him to cut it down tonight or anytime soon. I heard he's announcing in 2 weeks I guess

Actually, Ohio State eliminated Neal, and IMO, dad could be a problem. He's a helluva talent, but watch out for papa.

Neal is looking good to go to nd lets hope. Would definitely ease the pain of losing greenberry

Neal has made his decision and still plans to announce next Tuesday. I'll guess its North Carolina and hope to be wrong.

    Davonte' Neal announcement

edit: Neal's already kept a gym full of grade school kids (@600) waiting for nearly an hour and looks like a no-show....what a douche

Yeah this is pretty classless on his part.

They said that he wants Arizona but his dad wants ND-it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

What a mess. That's fucked up.

    I've heard the opposite.

I've heard from Neal wanting zona to his dad wanting zona and neal wanting nd to a family emergency who knows. It was pretty classless on the announcers part to completely bash him though

Honestly if it is bc of his dad it's pretty messed up. Let the kid make his own decision it's his life and it's his choice. Whether its Arizona or nd just let him make the choice

You know, I thought the same thing, but the last thing the guy said on Fox Arizona was what I just posted--he prolly just mixed them up.

    http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/7598253/davonte-neal-no-show-college-announcement
Davonte Neal, the last unsigned member of the ESPNU 150 (No. 8 overall), failed to show at his former elementary school, Kyrene de la Esperanza, on Tuesday where he was expected to make his college decision between in-state Arizona, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Arkansas.
After waiting approximately 30 minutes, the assembly ended and the 600 elementary school children who gathered to hear Neal's announcement were sent back to class and the rest of the crowd dispersed.
It is unknown when Neal will make his decision. He is the top-rated athlete in the nation, meaning he can play multiple positions at the college level. In Neal's case, he could play as a cornerback or wide receiver, as well as a return specialist.
At 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, Neal played receiver in the Under Armour All-America Game, though he was picked for the event as a defensive back. As a senior, the two-time Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year scored 30 touchdowns on offense, added three on special teams and starred in the secondary with 12 pass breakups. He finished as the No. 8 overall prospect nationally.
He extended his recruiting by taking a visit to Arizona after signing day and also made trips to Arkansas, Ohio State, Notre Dame and North Carolina.
