Random B1G Chatter - Season Long Thread

Big win for Michigan. I admit when MSU went up there at the end, I didn't think Michigan would win.
  • dave
I think Beilein just outcoached Izzo.

Great move starting Stu. Really need Horford back, Smotrycz is horrible.

Pretty cool we can scout Arkansas right now and see how they play.

Appling was really bad those last couple of offensive possessions for MSU. Good win for Michigan though.

Don't even mention them in the same sentence if you're talking about who's the better coach...how many NC's, final four's, B1G championships, All-American's, etc. does Beilein have? That's what I thought.

Well, MSU coming down to earth a little bit, as I suspected. I think Izzo has done a nice job with this team. But they still have their weaknesses as they did last year. Everyone jumped on the wagon after they won 15 straight. But go look at who they played/where they played during that stretch. Don't get me wrong, they are good. Top 10 good, not IMO.

I don't think he mentioned anything of the such.

You should try and keep up, especially when you're just 'dropping in' ;)

He said he outcoached him in that game. None of the stuff you mentioned.

How do you "drop in" on a thread you have already been a part of? You need to calm down.

wtf are you talking about? I said don't mention them in the same sentence, and then explained why, so I believe it's you who needs to calm down...also, the "dropping in" was in reference to your butting in on one of my posts yet again---creeper?

Maybe im missing something here but it completely sounded Like Dave said izzo got out coached in one game, vball is now saying don't compare the two because izzo is the better all time coach? Lol wtf logic is that??

great, another opinion-lol...yes, he said Izzo got outcoached IN THAT GAME, I said don't go there, and proceeded to tell him why....and logic? hahaha-this is OC!!!

So it's not possible for Izzo to get outcoached? Interesting.

IU has dropped to the middle of the pact and I expect them to be just over .500 during the B10 season.
Even tho Zeller is the top scorer the guy that fuels this team is Watford. If he isnt having a good game then this team wont excell against good opponants.
Zeller is a nice player, gets a number of his points from being a big man around the bucket but Watford is the engine of this team. He is a guy who can go down low, shot from the perimeter and create his own shot. How he goes, the team goes.

You realize how dumb that sounds right? Just because Coach A is a better coach and has more conference & national championships than Coach B, doesn't mean when the two coach against each other in a regular season game Coach B can't outcoach Coach A.

You do realize how dumb it sounds to argue someone's personal opinion, right? Wait, of course you do...smh

    K good so you do

The B1G should get at minimum 7 teams in the tournament this year. Not bad for the best conference in the country.

I am not sure anyone outcoached anyone to be honest. Typically, coaching is done in the preparation for the game. Once the ball goes up, the game is won and lost on the court. Yes, adjustments here and there. But players play the game, and they either execute, or they don't. Too much is made of one coach outcoaching another during a game.

All opinions, but I couldnt disagree more. In game adjustments are the biggest thing a coach can bring to the table, that other coaches cant duplicate, imo.
