So what happens if/when Hendrix starts in the bowl game and looks awful? Are you guys going to be calling for Golson after that? This is the same thing we went through in week one. Oh put Rees in, Crist is horrible! Then Kelly put Rees in, Rees and the rest of the team proceeded to choke in the Michigan game then pulled off a few wins. Last week they lost one of their two great running backs, and Rees was obviously a little rattled after being killed like six times in a row by Stanford's defense. At this point if you honestly believe Hendrix is the answer then you better have Kelly on the hot seat because if that turns out to be the case a guy who has a track record for great offense picked the wrong guy twice this off season to run his offense for him.

Kelly was on the hot seat the day he was hired by ND.

Actually, I think most ND fans are in agreement that Golson is the go-to guy...just didn't want to burn his redshirt this year.

You have to admit, the Rees does not fit into Kelly's offense. He is not mobile at all. There is no read option in the offense when Rees is in because there is no option...he's handing the ball off. Golson and Hendrix are the QBs that Kelly needs to run his offense successfully. If you really think Rees is the answer, then I don't know what to tell you.

After some of Tommy's recent performances and errors....I actually think that Hendrix might give them the best chance to win their Bowl game. Sure, he'll make a few mistakes....but that's understandable at this stage with him. He'll also gain valuable experience and as others pointed out.....his mobility gives another dimension to Kelly's offense that it lacks when Rees is in the game.

How is warranted criticism of a player making excuses for ND or justifying them sucking? And WE are the clueless ones???? Shiiiiit.....

Coming from an Ohio State fan... "Oh my God- our freshmen quarterback put up 34 points on the road but we're gonna b and moan about him... Jim Tressel went 12-1-- OH MY, I'm sick of this boring scheme!!"

I'll admit I have supported Rees over the past 15 games. But after watching Hendrix being able to run BK's offense the way it was intended to be ran, it's clear that he's a much better fit. He's going to make mistakes, but honesty those mistakes wont be any more costly than the mistakes Rees continues to make. It was damn refreshing seeing a qb who is able to make plays with his legs as well. His arm strength is noticeably stronger than Rees' also. Easy decision for BK to move forward.

I highly doubt we ever see Tommy take a snap again unless it's in a backup/mop-up duty roll. BK will give the first team reps to Hendrix for the next month and I'm sure he'll be the bowl game starter. It will be a Golson/Hendrix battle from here on out.

You have demonstrated numerous times that you don't know anything about football. Hell I think you've even said it yourself a few times.

Notre Dame didn't suck on Saturday. Certainly did not. Did you watch the game? They slugged it out with Stanford, who just happens to be one of the best teams in the country. Every Notre Dame fan here knows the Irish are not among the best in the country, and that it is primarily because of the quarterback play throughout the season.

You act like Ohio State fans haven't been "throwing people under the bus" all fucking season. Bauserman? Fickell? Bollman? The entire linebacking corp? DO I NOT SEE A THREAD SOLELY DEVOTED TO RIPPING APART ONE OFFENSIVE LINEMAN FOR FALSE STARTING??

Get real. You're a dumbass gym teacher who doesn't know anything about sports not named cross country. Learn to shut up.

Now now, let's be fair...that one guy accounted for ~50% of OSU's false starts.

They didn't perform nearly as well as they could have, so I guess in that sense they sucked. But they were in it until the very end and yet we simply don't recognize that?
