Jerry Sandusky Rumored to Have Been 'Pimping Out Young Boys to Rich Donors'
-
Fab1bNo Tress, OSU, ND, Auburn, Oregon, anything but the subject at hand!
-
gorocks99I know I implied it in my first post, but you've gotta wonder if any of these rumored donations were sought for the PSU athletic department as a result of this (or just Second Mile donations). If they were, that would be the break the NCAA would need to sanction/pillage.
-
Fab1bI certainly think something involving the NCAA is valid!!
-
Tobias FünkeSo you people see no comparison between the lunacy that was the media and rumors about OSU and what happened on the first page of this thread? Really?

Not sure how many will come forward, but the guy ran the charity for boys for 30 years. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that number turns out to be in the hundreds. There's likely varying extents of involvement and even some who successfully refuted his advances, but I'd be willing to bet that at least that many boys were targets.Tobias Fünke;966536 wrote:really..10x worse than molesting 20 boys. You are saying that 200 boys will have been molested? -

thanks, fab, but inevitably you'll have the usual suspects (trolls, instigators, etc.) bringing other schools into this...this is OC!!!Fab1b;966632 wrote:No Tress, OSU, ND, Auburn, Oregon, anything but the subject at hand! -
sportchamppsThey said he just recently had a boy with him last week. Tobias child molesters usually will molest as many victims as possible until they are caught. The face he has had so many opportunities over the years point to the number be extremely high. Molesters can not control themselves in private situations with children and Sandusky had 1000x of these chances.

No doubt there, and nothing you said is unreasonable to assume. I have no doubts that this case will sadly get much, much worse in numbers. BUT, that doesn't mean the guy was pimping kids out and it certainly doesn't mean Penn State was whacking police officers to cover it up.sportchampps;966666 wrote:They said he just recently had a boy with him last week. I'll interpret that as "it's okay when we do it to other schools we don't particularly care for, but not when anyone says anything about us. THEY need to wait for facts to surface, not us."DeyDurkie5;966670 wrote:dude, shut the fuck up.

BR1986FBI haven't been keeping up with these threads so it's probably been mentioned but there were a lot of famous donors to Sandusky's foundation such as Millen, Jack Ham, Franco Harris, Lou Holtz, Arnold Palmer, Mark Wahlberg, etc and, according to 92.3 (Cleveland), they were made aware of his "transgressions" yet still supported the program.

Could it be because they believed in the program as a whole? I mean it sounds good that in general, they are taking troubled youths and helping them through athletics.BR1986FB;966682 wrote:I haven't been keeping up with these threads so it's probably been mentioned but there were a lot of famous donors to Sandusky's foundation such as Millen, Jack Ham, Franco Harris, Lou Holtz, Arnold Palmer, Mark Wahlberg, etc and, according to 92.3 (Cleveland), they were made aware of his "transgressions" yet still supported the program. -

I understand that the premise behind it is good but as soon as Sandusky was accused of this abuse I'd be distancing myself as fast I could.bigkahuna;966691 wrote:Could it be because they believed in the program as a whole? bigkahunaI think I would as well, but I'm just thinking that maybe those guys thought that doing that would remove the benefit from (I don't know how many) other youths. If anything, I'd request that Sandusky be removed from the program or I'd be pulling back donations.

+1 some of them are saying joe pa needs raped in prison. Come the fuck on. Seriously? I support joe pa, he told a higher up, and Sandusky wasn't on the football staff at the time . Joe pa is just a scapegoat in all of this. -
Tobias FünkeWasn't Sandusky proven not guilty or whatever, I mean the investigation from 1998 didn't go anywhere....and no one knew anything about the 2002 incident outside of McQueary and the Penn State admins (JoePa included).
I mean, if a highly respected guy (from literally 100% of his coaching buddies, no?) isn't even charged with a crime, I don't think you can honestly say you'd distance yourself. He wasn't even charged from the 1998 thing, right? It's one thing to be proven not guilty, but he wasn't even charged and to the outside I think that unfortunately looked fine. Terribly, terribly unfortunate I think. -

You don't sound like you are familiar with the 1998 incident. Should probably check that out.Tobias Fünke;966729 wrote:Wasn't Sandusky proven not guilty or whatever, I mean the investigation from 1998 didn't go anywhere....and no one knew anything about the 2002 incident outside of McQueary and the Penn State admins (JoePa included).

Where in the hell in any of my posts do you get me claiming that the story about JoePa being linked with the DA's disappearance is true? And where did you see me say anything about claiming any truth about the pimping of the boys? I commented that if it is true, it is horrible. I never made claim that it is true. But if you can find a post that I did say something along those lines, I'll buy you and iPad 2.Tobias Fünke;966536 wrote:Did I or did I not just see you and the crew allude that Penn State and specifically Joe Paterno had a member of the police murdered, that this will definitely get 10x worse (really..10x worse than molesting 20 boys. You are saying that 200 boys will have been molested?), and that he was essentially functioning as a pimp for yet-to-be-named big donors.
If Tressel's emails are equivalent to the grand jury testimonies....then the anonymous sources horse**** is equivalent to what is happening now.
Simply saying, wait for due process so you don't look like fools jumping to conclusions.
Where's S&L to tell me this isn't a courtroom?
And also, did you really just say anonymous sources are the equivalent to what is happening now? SMH
I didn't think he was proven not guilty since it never really went to trial. A GJ, is not a trial.Tobias Fünke;966729 wrote:Wasn't Sandusky proven not guilty or whatever, I mean the investigation from 1998 didn't go anywhere....and no one knew anything about the 2002 incident outside of McQueary and the Penn State admins (JoePa included).

Terry_TateI'd be shocked if this is actually true. This has been bizarre enough that this actually sounds like it's possible, but still, I'll wait until there's actually anything behind it(no pun intended) before I jump to conclusions. Everything else is bad enough as it is.

Just because authorities don't have enough evidence to charge you doesn't mean you're innocent. Obviously, PSU (and Paterno) believed there was something to the allegations, because Sandusky was "retired" very soon after that. If he was innocent (Sandusky), he could have fought the "retirement" legally; he chose not to and we now know why.dwccrew;966891 wrote:Where in the hell in any of my posts do you get me claiming that the story about JoePa being linked with the DA's disappearance is true? Hes not a scapegoat. He is just the first one that was fired. Pretty soon everyone will be gone in the admin and coaching staff. Anyone who knew will be gone. With all the journalists that are on hand they will find everything. This will be like when "journalists" were looking for anything on OSU but 100x more. Anyone who knew will be bascially blackballed from football+1 some of them are saying joe pa needs raped in prison. Come the **** on. Seriously?
