My 17 year old cousin took some of those bath salts and killed himself 6 months to this day, and I still have the same opinion on suicide that I've always had; selfish and cowardly. Oh, and don't forget the 3 students in the school I was student teaching at; 1 of them in happening during/in school.september63;943894 wrote:I have read enough dumb ass posts to figure out that no one here has ever lost a family member, relative or good friend to suicide. Ill just say this, If you ever do, you wont be making unsensitive, uneducated ignorant comments about suicide.
So, take your crying bullshi-t somewhere else. -

Overdosing doesnt necessarily mean he tried to kill himself.bigkahuna;947382 wrote:My 17 year old cousin took some of those bath salts and killed himself 6 months to this day, and I still have the same opinion on suicide that I've always had; selfish and cowardly. sportchamppsActually the bath salts cause people to kill themselves they don't overdose. Think a bad trip where a person thinks their covered in snakes and starts stabbing themselves.

vball10setI think it takes a lot of guts for someone to kill themself. The reasons for doing so may be cowardly, especially leaving loved ones behind to clean up your "mess", but the act of actually killing yourself has to scary as hell...just sayin'

Ya, it can happen. Just saying does mean it's suicide. Probably doing drugs gone wrong (too big of dose will usually cause a bad trip)sportchampps;947922 wrote:Actually the bath salts cause people to kill themselves they don't overdose. He left a note as well explaining why he was doing it and apologizing to his family. The salt just made it easier for him.Pick6;948033 wrote:Ya, it can happen. Just saying does mean it's suicide. Probably doing drugs gone wrong (too big of dose will usually cause a bad trip) -

sportchamppsYou can have a bad trip from any size of dose just depends on your personality mood and what's in the drugs. I've seen people all eat the same amount of the same shrooms and 6 trip balls and 1 puke and pass out repeatly

I Am AhabSo, is suicide selfish and cowardly in an instance lime this: someone gets on that accident drug ( it's a drug used for treatment of acne, if anyone isn't familiar with it). It is the most effective treatment of severe acne bar none. But it's a very powerful drug and one of the side effects of the drug is that it f-cks w your brain somehow and as a consequence has been linked to suicides in individuals who didn't necessarily ha e any history of mental illness prior to taking Accutane.
Another example is certain antidepressants which can increase suicidal ideations in users and lead to suicide. This mimics what seems to happen with the use of bath salts. These substances seem to make it almost uncontrollable for some individuals. Take these drugs and you may very well go off the deep end and kill yourself. The same with mental illness. Your brain isn't working like a normal persons. You don't think rationally and can't see that suiciide is probably not the best answer.
In many ways I believe we are all slaves to the makeup of our brains. And brain chemistry is fragile. You can fuck around with it significantly just by popping a pill or dropping acid. If your brain becomes ill from drugs legal or illegal or just via a mental illness your world becomes Distorted and suicide could almost be out of your control. And some people are more susceptible it seems as Suicides (depression ) runs in the famIly. Because of that element of uncontrollability(?) it's hard to call it cowardly or selfish. -

I'll sum it up for you. "Is it cowardly/selfish if someone commits suicide because a prescribed medication f'd them up?"dwccrew;949512 wrote:This post is too long to read. It makes me want to kill myself.
Here's my answer: Apples to Oranges. -
