I really hope Dex is ok, that could hurt the Heels real bad.
McDonald is supposed to redshirt, but I think they may evaluate the situation again if Dex is out. If Leslie's knee simply can't be ready, then they'll obviously have to stick with the initial decision. Gotta respect what's best for him in the long run, even if it does mean diminished depth for this season. Having McDonald back wouldn't solve the problem at back-up PG anyway.

    Since the early 80's, yeah.

I just can't imagine liking two teams in different sports that play each other. It'd be like me liking osu football and Indiana basketball. Just makes no sense at all

Really hope Dexter isn't done for the season. If he is, McDonald better get well soon. No back-up PG without Dex.

They don't try to run the offense through the post enough. Oriakhi and Drummond should get more touches than they do. They also really need to step up their D against the 3. Notre Dame did the same thing UC did against UConn but only in the first half and the Huskies went on to win by 15 after ND cooled down.

Oriakhi-22 shots in the 4 losses.(24 points). 76 shots for 97 points in 14 wins
    Drummond-32 in the 4 losses(31 points). 109 shots for 157 points in 14 wins.

This team can be dangerous once again, but Lamb or Napier to need to step up and be a leader. They played with a great one last year, being one should have rubbed off them.

Shit, well that sucks. I hope he recovers quick and on the bright side we will have him for another year.

??? Was he going to go pro?
  • ironman02
Losing Dex really hurts. Bullock and Hairston will get more minutes, but Dex is a good defender, great in the open court, and he has been very efficient offensively this year. He doesn't score a lot, but he has been taking good shots and coming up with some big buckets when the Heels have needed them. Really hate this for him.

We'll see what happens, though. Hopefully the rest of the team takes it up another notch to compensate for the loss. Things certainly aren't going as planned, but they rarely do.

LOL. Certainly not, and he can't get a medical redshirt now. Dex will be back for his senior season next year, but there will be no "extra" year as far as I know.

yeah, I knew he wasnt going pro lol. I dont really get the comment, but maybe it was a mistype. He played WAY to many games to get a medical redshirt, so UNC gets him for his SR YR, as they wouldve. No extra year coming.

Haha sorry it was a long day for me yesterday and wasn't thinking clear....that sucks he is out. I'll just leave it at that.

Fab Melo didn't make the road trip for Syracuse's next two games (ND, Cincy). I think the undefeated season will be coming to an end in the very near future.

And Mookie Jones is off the team for the remainder of this year (probably forever).

EDIT: Just announced Mookie is transferring. So yeah, he is done at Syracuse.

Officiating in this Bama/UK game is HORRENDOUS.
  • killer_ewok
Nobody gives a shit about Mookie Jones though as he has hardly played this year. Hell, in his career for that matter. Now I'm reading that Fab Melo is academically ineligible. That's a back breaker right there. They're not going to even be close to the same team without him IMO.

Primed for a Final Four run and this happens. SMH. Reminds me of Onuaku blowing his knee out against G'town in the BET a couple years back when they had a decent shot to win it all.

    Never fails. Damn.

yeah, I didnt see Miller get hit on that last jumper. And it was poor before that call.
  • killer_ewok
Just read that he's missing these 2 games because the new semester just started at Syracuse so he's ineligible for these two but they hope to get the academic matter resolved this week so that he can play again.

Maybe he didn't get a paper turned in on time at the end of the semester or something and it fucked up his gpa. I don't know. Whatever it is, he better do whatever work he has to do to get his grades up.

Arkansas is shooting 10/10, up 15 on Michigan.
  • gerb131
Bama gave Kentucky all they wanted. Couple loose calls down the stretch.
  • Azubuike24
Miller got smacked in the nose on that jump shot...
