College Basketball Random Chatter

Wow. Not good for either team to start so poorly in conference, on Pitino day no less too lol

Baylor trying to stay unbeaten @ KSU. Down 2 with 4:30 left.
  • Mulva
Quincey Acy is taking over. Scored the last 5 points for Baylor, just kept a possession alive with an offensive rebound and then took a charge at the other end. Baylor up 1 with 1:30 to go.

Baylor up 2 with 14 seconds left, K State ball.
  • wildcats20
LOL K State doesn't even get a shot off.

    Baylor wins.
  • Mulva
Frank Martin is doing a good job with that K-State team. They are not so talented. McGruder is a good player, but this isn't K-State from a couple of years ago. Baylor has Kansas and Missouri next week. Tough road to stay unbeaten.

Yeah, K State is def overachieving.

The Big 12 is going to be a fun conference to watch this year IMO.

That 19 point win over k state didn't seem like much for ku at the time but its looking better and better.

Rutgers is crushing Pitt @ Pitt. Will be five straight losses for Pitt if Rutgers hangs on.
  • SportsAndLady
Oh and Seton Hall is 15-2...how are they not in the top 25?
  • Azubuike24
They are, at least in the AP they cracked in.

Makes sense since it was the big east network, a derivative of ESPN

Good. Ohio won last night. They'd dropped two in a row after starting 12-1 and being #27 in the AP poll. 13-3 now after edging Buffalo.

Looks like this year, Northern Illinois will be the Toledo of the MAC. Currently 1-13. With their one win being over some team named Roosevelt. That's a NAIA team.

Anyone seen Murray State play this year? The OVC sucks this year but are they worthy of 14 ranking?

They are good...they're undefeated so the ranking is justified..now arethey one of the 14 best teams in the country? I don't think so.

Very impressed by this Virginia team..up by 3 just before half @ Duke. My first time this season watching them this year.
  • gerb131
Thanks. I will try to catch them at somepoint. Usually a team like that has a bunch of seniors and could make a Sweet 16 type run.
Virginia....people use to talk about them then they fell off, now it seems like they are back.

Speaking of dangerous mid-major teams, Iona got shocked on their home court tonight. Blew a 17 point halftime lead to Manhattan.

Drexel gets a good win over George Mason in the CAA. They've won 9 of 10 since a surprising 2-4 start.

Just read that the Pac-12 is 0-17 against currently ranked opponents. Wow.

St. Mary's beats Gonzaga by 21. WCC race could be a good one between those 2 and BYU.
