Why hasn't OSU produced good pro quarterbacks?

  I *think* he had great stats but was overlooked by the bigger schools. If I remember correctly. That was so long ago that I wouldn't be surprised if I'm completely wrong.

  Here is something I found while looking stuff up. I didn't think Brees was highly ranked and this might also prove it I agree I wish we could find his actual ranking.
  

  As a senior in 1996, Drew had one of those high school seasons they still talk about in Texas. In his second year as a starter, he led Westlake to a perfect 16–0 record and the state championship. The title game was played in Texas Stadium. Drew paced the Chaps to a 55–15 win over Cooper High and its star, Dominic Rhodes. His final numbers for the season were 3,528 passing yards and 31 touchdowns. In two years with Drew calling signals, the team went 28–0–1.
  
  Drew believed he could continue his success and be a top college quarterback. The top programs, however, did not come calling. Only two—Kentucky and Purdue—offered him an actual scholarship. Picking between the two was easy. The Wildcats had Heisman Trophy candidate Tim Couch. So Purdue it was.

  Hope this makes sense, but part of it could be that they have had the luxury of throwing to some very talented/speedy receivers who were able to create space, making accuracy not as important as in the NFL, were you have a very small window to throw the ball into. Also, if you look at most of the recent QB’s deep ball, they were able to put a lot of air under it, which again you cannot get away with in the NFL.

  Even if they weren't ranked high, I'm sure they were great high school quarterbacks or else they wouldn't have played college football.

  Breeze wasn't recruited heavily because he was undersized. 5-11ish I believe.
