NOW who is the spin dr? Things don't go your way so you accuse Bammer and Awburn and lump the SEC as cheaters. ...cheating is cheating ??
I steal a can of beer; you rob a bank with a gun. Crime is Crime !

You need to read stuff twice before you post. I swear your comprehension borders on someone who is illiterate.

My comments about Auburn and Bama were about OVERSIGNING and roster space, not cheating -- and where in the hell did I "lumpt the SEC as cheaters" in what I wrote? I did not. I was talking ONLY about OSU and LSU's infractions and stated...correctly...that both were caught cheating in the eyes of the NCAA.

    Not borders, he is illiterate.

He also said that what LSU did wasn't dirty, when clearly it was.

WHY are so many of your posts about oversigning? This thread is about LSU and a violation of housing on an unofficial visit, and the penalties, and discussion of how it is as dirty as all the stuff OSU is guilty of. Pay attention and stop twisting words around or changing the topic to oversigning.

Yeah if I were you I'd just ignore the 'no comparison' and keep name calling. The way LSU handled it was not dirty. That's what my post said. That was after 3 pages of stupid incorrect remarks by others who are too illiterate to find a post that was not deleted.

Lol that's a super cool story, bro.

Nobody says it's like the osu situation. You're trying way too hard here. ALL we are saying is lsu is dirty. They've clearly admitted it. Cats and you apparently won't. But lsu and the NCAA agreed.

    no comparison to this one
SportsAndLady;809603 wrote:I forgot to post this story when it happened a couple weekends back, I thought you guys would like it.

I graduated 2 saturdays ago from Ohio U in the morning and into the early afternoon. I then had to move out of my apartment and head home with my parents.

My apartment complex does not have a parking lot in the front (where our apartment faces), but rather in the back...and where my apartment room was, you have to walk about 5 minutes to get there. Not a big deal at all throughout the year, but when you're moving in and out it's a real hassle to walk there and back with all your stuff.

So there's a parking lot directly in front of my apartment room, it's small, about 15 spots...and it's for the houses right in front of my apartment. So my parents and I parked our van there, because it had about 3 of the 15 spots filled (almost all freshman, soph, and juniors were moved out by this point..only graduating seniors and summer school kids were still in Athens) and we felt it wouldn't be a big deal to park there for 10 minutes while putting the very small amount of stuff I had into my van from my apartment.

Well, we were finishing up and noticed a huge pick up truck was pulling in and it parked directly behind our van. I went over and there's a pretty giant man standing there with a tire boot in his hand, dip in his mouth, tank top on, jeans...if anyones ever been to Athens, Ohio, you know exactly the type of person I am talking about.

He goes, "this your van?" I say yes. He says "do you have a pass for this lot?" I say "No sir, we were just parking here for 15 minutes or so in order to move out of our apartment here. I felt since the lot wasn't full it wouldn't be too big--" he interrupts, "Boy, you got 2 options and listen to them closely: One, I'm gonna boot your tire then call a tow truck, you're gonna have to pay $150 to get it from them....Two, you can give me $50 and I will not put this boot on your tire and you can leave this lot."

I said, "how about I just move my van now?" He repeats my options like I'm some ****ing moron who didn't hear.

After realizing this guy wasn't listening to anything I was saying I said, "Do you really want to be a **** about this? There's no one in this lot, I'm not obstructing anyone from their parking spot."

He basically got all tough guy and eventually my dad came over and asked him who he worked for. He said, "I work for no one; I work for me"

So we had to pay him $50 to move his truck so we could pull out.

What could I have done? I know I was parked illegally but it was fricken move out weekend! I actually thought my dad was going to hit him. It almost ruined my graduation, it pissed us off so bad lol not so much the $50 (although it was $50 we really did not want to give away..especially to a scumbag like that)

In hindsight, should I have called the cops? Can someone just randomly boot my tire? It's our vehicle (the van) but it's on someone else's property...but not his!

How would you guys have handled that?

stroups, I watch some, work some, know a little about it, but I do not get my rocks off watching nascar. If you lived by the 'shoe and got on the game sidelines free wouldn't you go? Outlaws racing is better than nascar.

Russell Shepard has "compliance issue" related to off-campus housing arrangements: http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/30785440

I didn't realize this is the first time LSU had been put on probation in 25 years. It won't be long and LSU fans will be calling for the resignation of Les Miles. They're starting to experience the snowball affect of the media - first the probation, then the Will Lyles issue and now this with Russell Shepard. If this "compliance issue" does indeed date back to the time he arrived on campus, he could ultimately cost LSU some ball games.

IMO, being that OSU is one of the premiere universities in college football, it was only a matter of time before other schools found their necks on the chopping block. I think it's made other schools aware that they need to pay more attention to what is going on at their schools. It's possible that other universities are attempting to make sure there are no violations to be leaked about their schools, and if there is - they want to make sure that they're self-reporting to the NCAA to lessen the blow if there actually is a violation. If I'm an official at LSU, I look into every single potential violation and cooperate fully with the NCAA (unlike USC, which is why the got slammed). Everyone compares what went on at USC to what's going on at OSU. It just goes to show cooperating vs not cooperating with the NCAA can do. For now, it appears as if LSU is doing everything they can to cooperate, which will be good on their part if in fact any of these rumors are true. I'm sure this isn't the last rumor they'll have to investigate. Typically when one rumor is revealed, there's more to follow.

The media is always picking on the SEC. They let OSU get away without even firing Doug Archie. The media just wants the SEC to not win the BCS this season. Bunch of haters. What about the Big10 with all those ugly fat chicks?? Talk about that.

The funniest part was that I couldn't decide what was lamer--you (& your dad?) giving $50 to a redneck who made fools of you, or your actually posting getting fleeced by a hillbilly on a message board...to be honest, I wouldn't have told anybody!!! HAHAHA

That'd be pretty sad if you couldn't share a story about losing 50 dollars. Luckily I am a part of a wealthy family where we don't feel embarrassed by stories like that, rather we laugh about it. I'm still not sure why that story keeps gettin brought up...I can understand Mike Sam will but not this story...oh well, you're a sad individual so I really shouldn't be surprised

As you stated, this has nothing to do with the money (so being able to afford getting duped out of $50 by a hilljack makes you feel less embarrassed?) , but more the way you lost it....I can understand your reaction to the situation when it happened, because you say you're "young", but I can guarantee you this--if anyone tried to intimidate my son, especially in my presence, the way this "hillbilly" allegedly did with you, he'd had better have packed a lunch, 'cause it would have been a looong afternoon...just sayin'

btw, the Mike Sam story is still the best--HAHAHA
