I have no problem with this at all. But I'm sure some will.

UK and the U will wear it also

No real surprise that UK signed with his branch of Nike. Coach Cal and Bron are VERY close.

why is this news? Oh yeah..people think this will make Cleveland fans mad..which I guarantee most wont give a shit. Kind of funny..the article posts explanations as to why Kentucky and Miami are wearing his brand..but just act like OSU is some random addition. Lebron has always been a supporter of OSU and even said that is where he would of went had he went to college.

LeBron never had anything to do with Columbus or Ohio State. Why would anybody care whether he sponsors them?

The two retarded sheep fanbases (or former in Lebron's case) of Ohio unite!

His logo was on the ball uni's once before. Been on the sideline for football games. He's basically always had something to do with Ohio state since he went pro.

I have a problem with it. I don't want that POS's name on my school's uniforms.

That's is like saying Phil Knight has something to do with my life because I wore Nike shoes the entire time I played basketball, and really wasn't my point at all. He isn't directly affiliated with the university (as an individual, not his brand/company), and he did nothing to "wrong" it in any way.

I liked them when they wore them last, except the shorts were crazy long. I ordered a pair online and they looked like capris.

I'd say culottes instead of capris.

you gotta be fucking kidding me .. I dont want that piece of shit representing anything that has to do with Ohio State .. How can they betray so many people .. This is a shambles and I am soooo embarrased of being a Buckeye right now ...Something needs done ..Who the hell is in charge A firing would suffice for this discrace ... We are turning into the garbage of the 80s Miami Hurricans .. What a disapointment
  • Hb31187
Its not THAT big of of a deal lmao. Reactions like that are exactly why the media wont drop it, because people still get this upset over it.

They were almost as long as the shorts for those dri fit uniforms that OSU, Syracuse and them wore lol

I would have been more in favor of them just wearing regular old Nike.

I agree that LeBron's logo has no place on an Ohio State jersey. Just because he was at Gameday one time doesn't mean he's a part of OSU. He never went to school there ( he claims he would've had he gone to college but given LeBron's history and the state of OSU's program at that time can we really believe him on that?). He has made appearances at numerous UK and even Davidson games and has never stepped foot inside of the Schott to watch an OSU game since he's been a pro (and since his logo has been on their jerseys for years now). As an OSU student (which means the current team is actually representing myself and my peers, which means my opinion matters more than alumni or casual fans...sorry to break it to you) I am embarrassed that LeBron associates himself with Ohio State and OSU chooses to reciprocate.

Jordan never went to Georgetown or Marquette.

Are you really gonna compare the Jordan brand to LeBron's "brand"?

Uhm yes. Both are subsidiaries of Nike basketball and both are brands that are represented by multiple schools.

    +1

Not saying lebrons brand is that big at all. But their brand is branching out. Jordan has more then just unc. Lebron wants to obviously make money off schools he didn't go to either. It's the exact same thing.

Jordan's brand has been established for 20 some years, LeBron's is hardly at that level. I have no problems with the LeBron brand seeking out OSU, it just seems odd given the circumstances why OSU would be willing, or even feel the need to have LBJ's logo on their stuff. It's a lot different than schools other than UNC seeking out the Jordan brand because it's a much more recognizable symbol than LeBron's. Hopefully that clears it up for you.

    Summary:

Jordan brand=one of the most recognizable in the world. Makes sense for schools like Marquette and Georgetown to put it on their stuff (small schools looking for big bucks/promotion) and for UNC to put it on theirs (Jordan went to school there).

LBJ brand=growing brand but nowhere near the level of Jordan (and probably never will be, let's be honest). Makes sense for The U (He plays in Miami, small school with very small basketball brand), makes little sense for UK (already a huge name, mostly just the Calipari connection I would imagine), makes no sense for OSU (one of the most recognizable brands in NCAA sports already, LeBron has no ties to school, no longer plays professionally in state. University of Akron would make 1000x more sense).
