You're an idiot...that had nothing to do with intelligence.
My family is not poor like you, we can give someone $50 and not think twice about it. -
SpeedofsandA fool and his money are soon parted.
What makes you think you know how rich or poor I am? -

yea the facts according to you. you accuse the media of bias in their reporting of OSU. woe is the buckeyes everyone hates us. go blow you nose and wipe away the tears. -
WriterbuckeyeYou are such a child: Children whine when they don't like something -- and they LIE when it suits their needs.

stlouiedipalmaFor what it's worth, our local out here, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, has a columnist by the name of Bryan Burwell. He's been on ESPN a few times, so he's not totally unknown. When Jim O'Brien was fired he stated that any of his assistants who found work should have been fired from their new jobs "before the ink was dry on their contracts". He made this statement without consulting the facts of the story, especially the lawsuit O'Brien had filed against TOSU (which he eventually won). I pointed out to Burwell that, with litigation hanging in the balance, it would be a very stupid thing for a school to follow his advice on the assistants. I also pointed out the facts as we knew them and told him to do a quick check before he ran an inflammatory column. After the original Tressel presser Burwell wrote an opinion column which played loose and free with the facts. He essentially ran a crusade against Tressel with this column. I wrote him again, pointing out how he got it wrong with the O'Brien story and was guilty of repeating his past sins with the Tressel column. Since that day the Post-Dispatch hasn't run anything but wire service feeds regarding Ohio State.
I don't always agree with Writer on much of anything, but when I think he's right I say so. I think he's correct in a lot of what he is saying about the amount of coverage ESPN and other outlets are giving TOSU. They are like sharks smelling blood and they have been relentless in their pursuit.
Furthermore, if the NCAA should give the Buckeyes moderate punishment I would be willing to bet that the crux of their coverage will be critical of the punishment and not on Ohio State's misdeeds. -
Tigerfan00So when does the big story on Oregon/Auburn come out?
I thought it was supposed to be in June or did the NCAA put a stop to that coming out? -
KnightRyderWriterbuckeye;813619 wrote:You are such a child: Children whine when they don't like something -- and they LIE when it suits their needs.
if that is case then you are a child, because you lie and whine. look at you whining because OSU is getting negative press, maybe the media should just laud the buckeyes for cheating to win in a weak conference and playing a out of conference schedule loaded with meat bags. is that what you want? if OSU was half as good as you and your illegitimate half brother sleeper say they are there would have been no reason to cheat. is that the best you can do call some one a liar when you dont have proof? well its not like you have proof of anything state. now you whine , bitch and moan about media bias, did you do that when USC got busted . all i seen you do was line up and take your shot. the facts you state are facts only in your little world. outside of it they are lies. -
WriterbuckeyeYou are a rambling mess. Perhaps decaf would help...or some Valium.

Well, Yahoo did one on Oregon today. Robinson and Wetzel (aka: the two who had the first stuff on OSU). http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news;_ylt=AolBLYyaYed16vl1hCQbmE05nYcB?slug=ys-robinson_scout_details_deal_oregon_kelly_070111
So apparently some media somewhere do care about more than Ohio State. -
that_guyBased on the yahoo article Chip Kelly's college coaching career should be over...
Tressel never escalated an email he received about possible violations committed by two players, then never told the NCAA about the email when the violations came to light- Fair or not, he lost his job because of this.
Chip Kelly committed a NCAA violation by arranging to pay a "Scouting Service" to help land a recruit, then once Oregon learned that Yahoo was on the trail, he worked with the "scouting service" to retroactively create a report so it looked like Oregon received some tangible scouting information for their $25K. This is much worse than anything Tressel did, a recruting violation then a cover up.... -

Ohio State ended Jim Tressel's coaching career. Lets also remember, he had prior issues. Will Oregon choose to end ties with Chip Kelly? Who is it for any of us to say "so and so's career SHOULD be over."that_guy;819751 wrote:Based on the yahoo article Chip Kelly's college coaching career should be over...

Midstate01In shocking news, espn hasn't even mentioned this story on air or the web. Paying for recruits isn't even close to selling your own stuff!!

Yes, it is shocking that ESPN hasn't turned around a major investigative piece by a rival organization by saying, "Yahoo said this" two hours after it was released.
EDIT: Good call, stooge. Posted at 408pm:

Well, lets be honest...Oregon football, and Chip Kelly are not necessarily household names when it comes to the giants of college footall. Not compared to the likes of OSU, USC or many others for that matter.
But if this is true about the 25k to reel in recruits, the OSU issues PALE in comparison! It will be interesting to see how the NCAA handles this!! Can't wait..... -
karen lotzHaven't had a chance to read it all yet, but from what I have seen, it looks really really bad for Chip. Other schools that used this guy are probably not going to have a very pleasant holiday weekend.

Terry_TateLol. I'm watching Sportscenter and they had Oregon Football Investigation on their list on the left. Well they got to the topic before it and all of a sudden it just disappeared and they never talked about it. To be fair they did have a quote about it scrolling on the bottom, but I just found that a little odd.

stroupshttp://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/john_canzano/index.ssf/2011/07/canzano_chip_kelly_loses_his_f.html
I spoke with University of Oregon football coach Chip Kelly in early March, amid reports that a Texas man named Willie Lyles was involved in a recruiting scandal that could bring down the Ducks program.
Kelly told me he didn't know who Willie Lyles was.
I believed him.
That same evening, a Yahoo Sports story reported that Lyles was paid $25,000 by Oregon. So I texted Kelly, asking him why he lied to me, and we ended up on the telephone, where Kelly insisted I'd confused him by asking about "Willie Lyles." He said, "around here, we call him 'Will.' We've already distanced ourselves from him, trust me."
