Should Ohio State re-hire Tressel?

Wolford has us 2-3 years away from a title. I would welcome Tressel back at YSU to raise some serious finances for the athletic department.... on the WATTS Center, the new sports complex across from Stambaugh, and potentially a baseball stadium on campus one day.

The Big Ten is the best conference in the country, both on and off the field.

Yup, you're absolutely right. I'd much rather be the Big Ten Champ than the SEC Champ and (at least the past five seasons) therefore the National Champ as well...

Having the best team = being the best overall conference?

Wow. Typical Domer. Always envious of teams that actually can win conference championships.

When that involves 4 different teams combining to win the last six championships with a combined 3 SEC losses... yes

Typical Domer. Always riding the coattails of someone else's victories to cover up the fact that your team goes 6-6 every year and loses to crappy teams in mediocre bowl games.

Not riding anyone's success, just pointing out that you're wrong- per usual.

Do you realize what you just said? You just asked if he wanted to win a conference champion and then go on to win the national championship? Ironically, that's his exact point. SEC teams go on to win national championships, while Big Ten teams go on to get sodomized by SEC teams and USC.

Right but none of them had to step down and it looks like JT will be suspended for about 3 years from all of college football. Point is the NCAA is looking at his entire body of work even the years at YSU. You logic would mean that JoPa is the best coach as he has the most wins. Off the field issues do matter when ranking coaches IMO.

Well that's meaningless, Tressel is retired from coaching. He wouldn't even take the Patriot's job
if Belichick was run over by a truck tomorrow.

Oh so we can include his 4 national championships at YSU? You're digging yourself a deeper hole, JT is the best coach in the country, there's no doubt about it.

So if SEC teams win National Championships, and Big Ten schools win conference Championships, what do independent and irrelevant schools do? Kill innocent children.

Declan Sullivan, we will never forget.

Anyway, after the NCAA rules, wouldn't it be a great idea to bring back the best coach in the country? I think it'd be a big ol' FU to the NCAA and their ridiculous rules, and Tressel would go back to what he does best, winning championships.

    Thoughts?

I'd take it a step farther and also have an unknown "walk-on" named, I don't know...Perrelle Tryor win the starting job. While people might think he seems familiar, they won't be able to tell because of the really fake-looking ZZ-top beard he sports.

Using ineligible players = cheating. How is that hard to comprehend?

2 out of 22 in one season, based off of an email. He made a poor decision, lied about it, and rightfully lost his job over it. To discredit his entire coaching career/summarize his overall character as a human being because of it is laughable.

Sodomized? Bit of a stretch there...man since you know so much about how awful OSU and Big Ten schools are at everything I'm glad you wouldn't make the mistake of actually attending one of these types of dirty schools.....oh wait!
