  For the media to call this guy the greatest college player ever was the biggest joke I've heard for a long time. What did he ever do? He was a servicable QB on the most talented team in the country. He is like Ben Rothlisberger, his team wins despite him not because of him, Saturday when his team needed him to step up and be the player the media has said he was for 4 years, he could not deliver. That is my lasting impression of Tim Tebow.

  Sorry, but this. ^^^^ I understand being upset and therefore emotional after such a big letdown, but I truly don't think I've ever seen a grown man SOB at the end of a game of any kind. I give him credit for always giving 100% and for being an outstanding leader for his team, but I must confess it's a great relief to know that the Tebow worshipping is nearly over.

  I've always been upset about how Troy Smith's legacy has been smudged by a poor last performance..and a lot of Florida fans enjoyed doing victory dances on that legacy, further bringing it down. I am taking a lot of pleasure in their demise now...they were so cocky with no awareness that the party would come to an end eventually.

  Demise? I wouldn't go that far.
  
  There are several differences between these two losses:
  
  Tebow still has a chance to go out a winner. Smith didn't.
  Tebow still won a national championship as the leader. Smith didn't.
  Tebow's team came up a little short of being mentioned with the all time greats nationally over a career. Smith's team came up short of even being the best in a single year, let alone ever. Not to mention the downward spiral Ohio State's national presence has taken as a result of his play.
  
  Yeah, the party is pretty much over now. But it is like Tebow had a pool party with a high dive and slides and fun stuff you'll always remember. Troy Smith kind of took you to a petting zoo where all you really ended up doing was sneezing and cleaning shit off your shoes.

  I dislike florida as much as most, but Tebow is a very good leader and a good college player. Is he annoying YES, but most of that also has to do with the media being all over him.

  I probably won't remember his Campbell Award as the nation's top scholar-athlete (according to the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame) as much as some other things because it just kind of gets lost with his at least 20 other major awards and accomplishments. But since everyone loves to hear kind words about Tim Tebow, here's a quote from the banquet:
