krambman
Cameron Heyward
Kurt Coleman
Ok, so I made two Gold Pants wallpapers (Well, really four). One with Cameron Heyward and one with Kurt Coleman. I made two different versions of each, with each having a different placement of the years and scores (each wallpaper here shows one of the two layouts). I also have each of the four wallpapers in two sizes, one for a standard 15" monitor, and one for a 17" monitor. Here are the link to all of the wallpapers.

This is totally untrue ... I lived in Florida for 3 years and been at my cousins house near Auburn, Ala. many times and those fans bases are freakin right there with the Buckeye fans if not worse. Honestly I think they are worse.NNN wrote: 4) The fans. I've dealt directly with the fan bases of Georgia, LSU, South Carolina, Florida, and Bammer. Ohio State is worse than all of them...a LOT worse. And if you've never been around any of them, it's difficult to fathom what it's like. -
LeonardoNice job krambman!

I could also say to you that having been stationed in Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, NC, SC and So Cal, that these areas have a plethora of uneducated and ignorant individuals that make up their respective schools fan base. Yes, there are some Buckeye fans on the board that in all likelihood, the best part of them ran down their mother's leg at birth.NNN wrote:bLuE_71 wrote: NNN = DBagkrambman wrote: I suppose it could be both. Generally though I think that you only have a right to dog another team if your team is better than that team. For instance, I may take pleasure in seeing USC do so poorly down the stretch this season, however, because they beat OSU, I'll usually keep my mouth shut about it on here. Or I may love the fact that Florida lost and that Tim Tebow looked like a 12 year old girl who just saw Sanjya on the sideline, but I'm not going to be blasting him or the Gtors around here. That's why I wanted to know who specifically you are a fan of, to see if I should quietly take your bashing of my team because yours is better and therefore I deserve it, or if your just some moron Michigan/ND/whoever fan who hates OSU and has no place to talk.
Here are my reasons.ytownfootball wrote: Just a hater, no reason given.
1) Local media. I've lived in SEC country, and even in a town the size of Toledo the local teams don't dominate the news the same way that OSU does. When I hear "Armed robbery, three suspects, armed and dangerous, police are still looking.....but first, Ohio State and New Mexico State!" that's just pathetic.
I won't even get into the most basic thing of all, and that's the complete lack of coverage of the lawlessness and laughable academics that held place under John Cooper. The rule was "if it's being reported nationally, we have to report it; if not, then no". This is how things like a starting linebacker being arrested and charged with assault for re-arranging a woman's face with a beer mug in a drunken brawl at 2 AM isn't widely known. Neither, for that matter, were any of the drug-related offenses that took place for 15 years.
2) The arena situations and the unethical behavior of Ohio State as it relates to it. Value City Arena was built at taxpayer expense with two conditions being promised by Ohio State; they violated both. Screw 'em.
3) Personal reasons. A good friend of mine went into the OSU medical center in fairly good health and left in a permanent vegetative state thanks to malpractice committed by two doctors.
4) The fans. I've dealt directly with the fan bases of Georgia, LSU, South Carolina, Florida, and Bammer. Ohio State is worse than all of them...a LOT worse. And if you've never been around any of them, it's difficult to fathom what it's like.
5) The only time my team played OSU, my team won. I'm not going anywhere with that, just pointing it out.
At every big time football school in the USA, there are incidents that get overlooked and athletes who have no business being in an institution of higher learning. These traits are not endemic to one particular university by any stretch of the imagination. Yes, I am most definitely a Buckeye fan, however I do admire "quality" programs for the positive traits they exhibit.
I also try to refrain from "flaming" respective schools simply because I don't like them, for the simple reason that it I feel it shows MORE IGNORANCE than maturity and intelligence. If that were the case I would be on every Michigan thread here bashing the Wolverines. -
NOL fanThanks for the wallpaper kram
though I did get one comment about it I though was funny: "When did Tressel die and join glowing Yoda and Obi Wan?" -

To your first point, the differences lie in percentages. Ole Miss, for example, has a very small percentage of obnoxious fans. South Carolina has a very large percentage (particularly relative to their historical success). Ohio State has a largely obnoxious fan base, as does Wisconsin. Do Purdue and Northwestern?ghosthunter wrote: I could also say to you that having been stationed in Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, NC, SC and So Cal, that these areas have a plethora of uneducated and ignorant individuals that make up their respective schools fan base. To your second point, the same holds true there as well. But I'm not talking about "Look at the criminals they recruit!" In that case, it falls onto the coach who either does or doesn't discipline properly; Urban Meyer is a great example of someone who does not. I'm referring more to the fact that the central Ohio media, which places Ohio State-related stories on non-game days above actual breaking news that is significantly more important, played a large part in burying or ignoring felonious conduct on the part of OSU players. Either report the news or don't, but don't act like some beacon of neutral journalism when the agenda is obvious. -

Does the local media pretend to be neutral? If they are trying to be, then they suck at it.NNN wrote: Either report the news or don't, but don't act like some beacon of neutral journalism when the agenda is obvious. -

It's coming. Hopefully I'll have something by the end of the week. This is a pretty busy week for me, so I make no promises, but I'll do my best.hangonsloopy wrote: How's the Rose Bowl one coming Krambman?
I still need some good Oregon images, or a good site for Oregon images. -
ytownfootballI looked for a decent Oregon site and only found ones that required payments for photos. I didn't try to hot link 'em though.

hangonsloopyThat's cool. No rush, I was just curious.
