If you know much about the military, Ohio and Texas are easily the two states with the most ppl in the military. There are soldiers allll over the world who are huge buckeye fans. Believe me when I tell you that seeing the buckeye helmet look like a helmet they wear makes them happy. Showed the pic to buckeye fans and soldiers I've met here at hickam afb and they thought it was awesome and think it's so cool that they take the time to say thanks anyway they can.
If you are a bucknuts subscriber, check out the Afghanistan project. It's something a guy started and osu joined in and they send buckeye related things to buckeye soldiers. They go crazy over it when they get it.
