Too bad you didn't predict this presser. -

So do I, but I don't take my vacations until June & July. Thanks for thinking of me and how hard I work but I should be OK until june. -

Many more chances left. When it happens, the odds are good that it takes place on a Wednesday. -

Doesn't look half bad.
With all due respect to the military, I think the helmet looks horrible. Can't they honor the military some other way like a patch on their jersey or something? -

Why does it look horrible? I think it looks great! -

seriously? you admit to this?? -
Scarlet_BuckeyeI think the helmet looks awesome. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing them wear that one game when they wear their alternate unis.
-
OneBuckeyeThere were also a number of number changes.
Howard from 18 to 7
Clarke from 28 to 5
There are others... can't find a list of all of them. -

It looks like somebody threw up on the helmet. Thats why it looks horrible. -

Why wear them for even 1 game? Stick to tradition. Don't follow the Oregons,West Virginias,Miamis and so on and so on. -

So you have never seen Digicam before? That is a real military camo pattern, not something they just made up. -
holdingoutThen keep the Military pattern in the Military. It doesn't belong on a football field.

OSU has a shit load of students who are current and former military, including ROTC programs, just like countless other universities across the country. Why does it only belong at the academies? They aren't the only students out there who are also serving in the military, have served, or will serve in the future. -

I agree, I never understood bigKahuna's arguement. I took a literature in war class at OSU to fufill a GEC and 90% were vets, ended up being one of the best classes I ever took. -

when it comes to military history and OSU, you need to look no further than Woody Hayes....'nuff saidOneBuckeye;730349 wrote:I agree, I never understood bigKahuna's arguement. bigkahunaHow many players on the team will do something military related in their future?
I know there are vets and people that will go on to the military at every school, but we all know know that there are very few on college football teams.
I have an odd view on things like this. I think it's dumb to see a people walking around with camo on for the same reason, or someone wearing a military jacket that they bought at a Salvation Army or something. Maybe I hold it in too high of a regard, but I think that wearing or showing off something like that has to be earned.
You can honor the military in different ways, but I see this as almost mocking the military. I'm not hating on OSU, I just don't agree with non-military schools doing military things. -

I agree on this point, but mocking the military? I don't think you could be any further from the truth, IMO -

Mocking isn't the right word because I know their trying to honor the military, but do you at least see where I'm coming from or what I'm trying to say? -
vball10setyes, in a way I do....however, I look at it as another way to further raise awareness that we still have young men and women putting their lives on the line so we can enjoy watching football on Saturday's without the threat of having a bomb dropped on our heads. I view it the way I do when I see someone wearing pink to raise awareness for victims of breast cancer. Again, this is just the way I see it.
