Hey, your buying into what this recruit said about OSU. So you must have conveniently forgot about this comment in the article:
"We would be remiss if we didn’t note the fact that LSU and Michigan State were also accused by at least one member of the Auburn quartet of giving money during the recruiting process." -
Fab1bCats if you think us OSU fans are looking through blinders and you are not then you are the biggest hypocrite I've seen on this site!

There isnt anything wrong with what you guys are doing. Fans of opposite fan bases try to bring other teams/fans down all the time. I do the same when OSU makes mistakes. But, most of the time I post topics with cold-hard-facts. The things against LSU are nothing. And if this was brought up against OSU, you guys would say no big deal. Kinda like when I brought up the autographs for tatoos and Tressel forwarding emails. Trust me, LSU has nothing to worry about. OSU/tressel on the other hand does -

A direct quote from the article: "A few days after the kid's visit, Will calls and says, 'If you want this kid, there are other schools that want this kid as well. They're willing to pay a certain amount of money, around the $80,000 mark,'" It isnt that hard to put 2 and 2 together. -

And let me guess, Avery Johnson, PP7's brother is getting paid to come to LSU also? How about, they just love LSU?
-
j_crazythis is what i would think. no where does it explicitly say LSU paid for anything. just that aTm would have to pay if they wanted him.
-
FatHobbitI wouldn't be shocked if every school (or alumni base) is paying players to go there, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Jim Bob's recruiting service was trying get paid by aTm to steer a recruit there and the recruit had 0 knowledge of it.

this is what i envision the case to be with this lyles fellow. -
stroups"Earlier, LSU officials confirmed the school paid $6,000 to Complete Scouting Services, a college recruiting firm that Lyles started early last year. An LSU spokesman said the school did receive a DVD from Lyles in exchange for the $6,000. "

I might not be illegal but if that doesn't raise any question then I don't know what does. I mean, you pay a guy 6 g's for a fucking dvd that probably isn't anywhere close to the quality you could find on scout or rivals for a cheap monthly fee that LSU undoubtedly had anyway. -

That's what Cats would lead you to believe....
I'm not even hating on LSU for paying him, at this point I assume every SEC school has to outbid others. -

Maybe its because LSU just won its 2nd championship in a short span and because LSU recruits well? Why would he want to go all the way to Texas (from Florida) to play for a no name team, when he can boost his publicity more at LSU? And plus he was going to be a millionaire in 3 years anyways. It would be like a top player in the nation living in Pennsylvania and choosing Colorado instead of OSU. Would you turn down OSU to go to Colorado for $80k when you are eventually going to be a millionaire? Perhaps he's a good kid and he didnt want a school or himself to get caught/or in trouble?///
Common sense guys. -
