Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 12:00PM on ABC

goosebumpsShould be one hell of a game. Its snowing right now, so this may affect the passing game a little bit. Advantage for Pitt. However against WVU UC had to resort to the run and Isiah Pead went for 175 yards on just 18 carries. So UC can run the ball if necessary. Last resort we can throw in Collaros and have a dual threat. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if Kelly has some trick plays lined up for this game. The "Bearcat" offense he used against Rutgers?
My projection
UC 28
Pitt 24 (last TD with less than one minute in the game)
Also wanted to note that Brian Bennett said in his blog that Reps from the Orange, Sugar and Fiesta bowls are present, as is a rep from the Meineke Car care bowl. No one from the Gator Bowl. -
goosebumpsCollege game day just compared UC's offense to the great Oklahoma offense from last year
Yards per play: Oklahoma 6.9 UC 7.4
Percent of plays 20+ yards Oklahoma 8.6 UC 9.2
Turnovers Oklahoma 11 UC 7
also mentioned that UC is dead last in time of possession this year. -
TBone14Should be a fun one. I don't think the snow (flurries at the worst) will affect Pike much at all. It doesn't seem that windy.
Bearcats by 10. -
osu99I am curious to see how UC holds up against a brutal running attack. Pitt needs to control the clock if they want to win.
-
ytownfootballUC 0-5 vs Pitt all time.
-
tk421Why don't the Rooneys just go ahead and put turf in their stadium? How many times do they have to re-sod the field every year? Having the Steelers/Pitt, plus high school games really messes that field up.
-
TBone14Great start for Pitt. 3 and out go the Bearcats Pitt takes over near midfield.
-
goosebumps
UC beat Pitt last year lol, Are you saying 0-5 at PITT or vs PITT?ytownfootball wrote: UC 0-5 vs Pitt all time. -
TBone14
Agreed. Stupid to have that field in such bad shape all the time for big games.tk421 wrote: Why don't the Rooneys just go ahead and put turf in their stadium? How many times do they have to re-sod the field every year? Having the Steelers/Pitt, plus high school games really messes that field up.
Sidenote: Dion Lewis is gonna be great, if he isn't already. -
ytownfootball
Yeah at Pitt, should have been more specific. lolgoosebumps wrote:

goosebumpsNO problem I figured thats what you meant so I didn't jump on you too bad
-
TBone14Great move by Lewis to pick up the first down on 4th and 1. They had him stopped in the backfield.
-
elbuckeye28Tbone....I think he is already great.
-
goosebumpsLewis is a great back for sure. He looks very good today so far too. UC has already played two great backs though. Quiz Rodgers and Ryan Matthews.
-
Cleveland BuckComing in I figured UC would win by something like 44-40 or something like that. We know Cincinnati isn't going to hold Pittsburgh below their scoring average, because they barely do that on average this year against lesser opponents. I was unaware, however, of the talent Pitt has on the D-line. Cincinnati has not faced a good D-line all season, and the team that is better there usually wins the game. I'm going with Pitt 38-28 or so.
-
BCSbunkIf UC cannot stop Lewis this game is over right now.
-
TBone14Imagine if Shady McCoy hadn't left early..that 1-2 punch would be unstoppable. And TD Lewis as I type. 7-0 Pitt
-
goosebumpsTD PITT
-
thedynasty1998Very impressive first drive!
-
mallymal614Not only did Pittsburgh score but they took a lot of time off the clock. If they continue that throughout the game, that keeps UC offense off the field.
-
Cleveland Buck7-0 Pittsburgh.
-
mallymal614Go Pead!!!!!!!
How did Ohio State miss out on him when he is in the buckeyes back yard. -
goosebumpsNeither will go to he Gator Bowl, That is already reserved for We$t Virginia
-
TBone1440 yard rush by Pead and here come the Bearcats in the redzone..now first and goal at the 6.
-
lhslep134Because Pead would not have had any playing time for OSU he would have been buried deep on the depth chart.
