WriterbuckeyeA much, much tougher matchup for OSU.
-
Scarlet_FeverI want to see OSU win by 10+ I will feel much better about their chances of winning it all if they play well and win comfortably.

You suck at trolling -
sportswizuhrdEverything that is going to be said about this game was said about UConn/GMason during the pre-game in 2006.
-
cats gone wildHoping for a G Mason win.

Laley23Ohio State actually caught a break with this 8/9 match-up. I think all 3 of the others provide a tougher match-up (no matter who won). Id expect OSU to win by 10+

Yes, and so did most in UConn's favor when the Huskies met up with George Mason in the 2006 Elite Eight. If somebody says they expected Jai Whatever and the Patriots to take out Ruday Gay, Marcus Williams, Josh Boone, Hilton Armstrong, Rashad Anderson, etc, then they are not being truthful.Laley23 wrote:Id expect OSU to win by 10+
This is March. Anything and everything happens.
Will George Mason beat Ohio State? No. Lol. -

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I am saying...just sayin' lol -
Laley23Plus, GM played UCONN in the Elite 8. By that time, I actually know of a lot of people who gave GM a chance. They wouldnt put money on it, but gave them a chance. They ahd proven they were a very good team who was playing lights out by then with their wins over MSU and more so UNC. Then they got the gift that was wichita st.

Haha, no, it doesn't. Actually, when I posted, I thought I was still in the UK thread, where I had wrote "The Larranaga family might have something to say about Ohio State playing UK just yet." Apparently, I thought your post was attacking mine and apparently I got really mad about that. Haha.Laley wrote:That has absolutely nothing to do with what I am saying...just sayin' lol
Nevermind. But I still think George Mason has a shot, maybe more than most think. We will see. -
reclegend22Well, of course, people gave GM a chance by the time that Elite Eight matchup had arrived. As you said, they had already beaten MSU and North Carolina squads that were filled with future NBA talent. Yeah, that was an irrelevant example I gave, but I explained why I irrationally wrote it in my above post.

haha, your cracking my shit up right now. You posted that and I literally gave my computer a quizzical look. I was so bewildered with the post.
Anyway, it was fun to relive that tourney. I got to watch those games in Miami, with a giant HD screen (wasnt prevalent at the time) while swimming/laying in a pool. It was glorious.
Then my grandma sold the place....but I loved that outdoor pool, with the porch/whatever with the roof over it. It was one of the outdoor/indoor type things. Just awesome. -
reclegend22Haha yeah I am officially leaving this thread now. I think what I've added here is very insignificant and I am moving on
But I agree. The 2006 George Mason run was an unforgettable tournament moment, one of my favorites. Especially, I think, because of Jim Larranaga's deep connection to the city of Bowling Green. I don't believe I got to watch it in an indoor/outdoor fountain pool inside a sun porch, though. Lol. That would have been a nice added touch. -
Azubuike24Ohio State is an 11-point favorite.

George Mason in Cleveland, OH is NOT tougher than Wisconsin at the Kohl Center. Saying GMU is the toughest game of the year is a foolish comment, whether the Big Ten is "down" or not. -

Big Ten is a shell?
Currently, the Big Ten is 6-2 in the tournament with Wisconsin making it to the Sweet 16. OSU and Purdue should join the Badgers today with UM/ILL both facing #1 seeds. Only two losses by a combined 4 points in games where the B10 teams were higher seeds.
GMU in the state of Ohio is not where near as tough as @ Wisky, MSU, ILL etc. -

Haha a shell? This conference is as good as it's ever been bro, I mean the Big 12 has 2 powerhouses in Kansas and Texas but no one is saying that it's the greatest conference ever -

The Big Ten has looked pretty damn good so far. They are more then likly going to have three teams in the sweet 16 which is = to the number of teams the big east will get into the sweet 16.I am not trolling, I am saying that GM "might" be the toughest game all year for them. That is three or four points too high -

If anyone else would have said this, I would be suprised. But coming from you, this is the norm. You're just talking out of your ass with no semblance of knowledge, as usual.
MSU and Indiana might be down, but Illinois is still a decent team. When they're not fighting amongst each other, they can give teams trouble. And going to Illinois is never easy.
Purdue and Wisconsin are both damn good teams. They're both legit top 12 teams, along with OSU. Playing at any 3 of those venues is almost a given loss. Michigan has been one of the most improved teams this year and had a very impressive win vs UT. To say the Big Ten is a shell of itself is absurd. Just because MSU isn't making their usual deep run in the NCAA's this year doesn't discredit the entire conference. -

So can we assume you put a ton of money on G-Mason...or are you just talking for the sake of talking?Ty Webb;718198 wrote:That is three or four points too high
