  I'm sorry if I don't use the thug in the same sense as Webster's states, which goes back to the 1800's. Sorry the context of the word has changed over the years.

  Clarett recieved benefits and now Pryor is crusing around in a diferent new car every week. He was given a "loaner" from a dealer to drive back home in PA. Is anyone aware of where Pryor is living? It's not a cheap typical college kid pad. Tressel knows Pryor is recieving benefits and it continues.

  There are a lot of people that have no clue of what it means to play football for OSU, and the committment to each other that goes beyond football.
  Woody Hayes was no saint. It doesn't surprise me that Jim Tressel isn't either. I'll put Earl Bruce in that group too. Together they turned a lot of 18 year old kids into men.

  What the fuck did you go on this rant for? You are the most confrontational and argumentative poster on this forum, even when it isn't warranted. I didn't say he lied. I am not sure how reliabe the information is though. How am I to know if these kids were just telling him what they think should be the right answer. These kids could be waiting to see how this plays out before they make any decisions on what to say or do.

  While they caused the underlying sitatution, Tressel made his own choices on an even that the players had nothing to do with. While the email was about them, they did not cause the email to be sent and they did not cause Tressel to hide it.
  
  They are 2 seperate situations.

  Yes, Tressel's OWN actions are a direct result of the Tat 5's actions, but you didn't say that in the post I quoted; you said his situation is the direct result and that is just not true. His situation is a result of his OWN actions that he took as a result of the Tat 5's actions. As LJ stated, they are 2 seperate situations. Tressel could have avoided this situation, but by his own actions, he got into a big mess.
  
  In other words, he found out rules violations were occuring. He then chose not to report. Choosing not to report those violations was the action. The situation was getting suspended and fined for NOT REPORTING. This was a caused of his own action. Not because he found out about the Tat 5, but because he found out and hid it and never reported.
