Worse execution from Okl State. What a wasted opportunity. Last possesion and you fire up a contested 3 when ur down 1?

The top teams in conferences are losing in conference tourneys. A win is a win! You could also say good teams find ways to win when shooting 5-24 from behind the arc.

    Nah Kansas got lucky! :)

I'd rather be lucky than good.

That was probably KU's worst game of the season in terms of how they played. Even Self did a shitty job...but hey, a win is a win.

Just got home early and Colorado is up 70-64 on KState with 3:19 left.

Looks like Kstate may not get that match with Kansas.
Colorado looks pretty damn good too.
  • ptown_trojans_1
KState getting a nice no call on a steal and makes it a 1 point game.
    73-72 with 1:26 left.

75-72 after 2 FTs by Colorado.
  • ptown_trojans_1
Colorado has enough defense and makes the shots down the stretch and looks like it will hold on.
84-75 Colorado under 20 seconds left.

    87-75 Final. KState is out.
    Colorado plays Kansas.
    Nice finish by Colorado.

Gotta think that win was probably enough to move the Buffs off the bubble.

I'm kinda glad Colorado got this win...for 2 reasons. First, I want the Big 12 to get as many teams in as possible, so this helped that. Also, KU should beat Colorado and I REALLY want a rematch with UT.

KU/Colorado bout to start...its not on TV (espn3), but if you are watching, look out for Alec Burks. One of the better players you've never heard of.
  • Azubuike24
Maybe people who never watch bball haven't heard of Burks :)

Anyway, I have Colorado +13. Risky bet considering they are likely in the NCAA's, but I think they keep it closer than that. We'll see.
  • Mulva
Burks is a stud. Higgins is a pretty damn good player too.
  • SportsAndLady
Roberson is gonna be a good one too..only a freshman, leads the team in a lot of categories. Colorado will do well in the PAC 10 (mainly because the PAC 10 blows lol)

KU is ballin out now..they are so good when they go to the Morrii every time down the court.

    KU/Texas at 6 today!

No deaths in the jayhawk family, so KU will win :D

Setting yourself up for some serious shit if Texas wins.....lol
  • SportsAndLady
    KU up 39-23
  • centralbucksfan
Kansas looking really good...Texas looks like shit.

Kansas is the only team with a chance to take the overall #1 seed from Ohio State. Their profiles are very similar except Ohio State has better losses and has done more on the road. If they win tonight and Ohio State loses tomorrow they might get it.
  • SportsAndLady
KU might even get it, even with an OSU win. Assuming the score holds (I don't think it will, texas has a run in them and KU hasn't put together a full 40 minute performance in months), crushing Texas is going to impress the committee a lot more than beating Penn State.

Not to mention, the committee already has their selections in before the BIG10 tourney, so they won't even know if OSU wins or loses.

Well, there really isn't any way to tell who is the #1 overall because as long as they are the top 2 they will be playing in the Newark and San Antonio regions. And Ohio State has 3 wins better than Kansas' best win, so while this would be a great win, it wouldn't close that gap, so they would probably just go in assuming Ohio State will beat Penn State and have them the #1 overall, and if Ohio State loses it won't change the brackets at all anyway.

Yes, wins by 18 at Florida (RPI 8), by 23 vs. Purdue (12), and by 28 vs. Wisconsin (16) are better than by 8 vs. Arizona (17).
  • SportsAndLady
Okay so Ohio State has 3 better wins than KU's best...but KU has more impressive wins, has the same record, better RPI and SOS...I could see them giving it to KU, that's all I'm trying to say. But you're right, it's irrelevant because they aren't fighting for the same geographical locations.
