2011 ACC Tournament

ironman02It's probably a good thing that I wasn't able to watch the game today. Apparently Carolina showed a lot of heart by coming back from a 19-point deficit in the second half, but it never should have went down like that. Hopefully the Heels show up for all 40 minutes tomorrow, rather than just the final 10.
I recorded the game, so I'll probably watch it tonight. It'll be much less stressful since I know the outcome.
Poor little dukies are awfully touchy right now. I don't know if they really want Carolina on Sunday or not. -

Same here. Now that I know they won, I can watch it and just critique the hell of out them. -

Wouldn't want it any other way.....Should be an amendment saying those two need to play on championship Sunday. -
ohiotiger3370-47 Clemson over #5 seed BC. CRUSHED. Can you say tourney lock?
-
gorocks99BC ... out? One would think so.

Yes and Yes. -
chicago510Kyrie Irving did warmup and rehab drills in half uniform before todays game.
He won't play tonight, but anyone else think K is doing this on purpose? He wouldn't be rehabbing for the NBA on center court... -
ironman02Impressive win by Clemson today. I think BC might have still been in if they hadn't been hammered, but that definitely looked bad. Clemson is certainly a lock now, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see them beat the Heels tomorrow either. Both games between the two teams were very competitive, so I would look for more of the same tomorrow.

Very interesting. Is the toe actually good enough to play at game speed? I've said all along that he'll be back for the NCAA Tournament, so I won't be surprised. Just hope he's 100% and stays that way if he comes back.chicago510;708255 wrote:Kyrie Irving did warmup and rehab drills in half uniform before todays game.

wildcats20This is terrible.
-
wildcats20And I'm not talking about Maryland's FT shooting.
-
ironman02Hope Nolan Smith isn't seriously injured. Would be devastating to have another toe injury.
Jordan Williams is single-handedly losing this game at the free throw line. Pathetic.
Duke stepping it up since Smith went out. They've got this one. Sweaty Gary is done for tonight. -
wildcats20The officiating has been atrocious....both ways.
But that sequence with the loose ball and the couple plays before it were beyond terrible.
The missed goal tending call was HUGE. And not to mention Dook didn't have possession when the TO was called. Bad, bad.
Then again, the first 7 mins of the half Maryland was ALL over the Dook guys with no calls. I guess it evens out  -
wildcats20Oh and Kyle Singler is going off.
-
wildcats20Hate to say it, but that is a really good win for the Dookies.
Hopefully Tech or FSU can pull the upset tomorrow. -

Nah, I want them to make it to Sunday. That is, if Carolina makes it there first. If the Heels don't beat Clemson tomorrow, I will be rooting hard for FSU/VT.wildcats20;708419 wrote:Hate to say it, but that is a really good win for the Dookies.

Wonder if they'll sit Smith tomorrow. My guess is no. -

swamisezNot sure who I want to win this contest. Think the hokies. Can Seth Greenberg win an acc tournament game after Thursday. We shall see.

I want FSU to win so Hamilton can instruct his guys to beat the piss out of Duke all game, leaving them battered for Sunday.swamisez;708471 wrote:Not sure who I want to win this contest. Think the hokies. Can Seth Greenberg win an acc tournament game after Thursday. We shall see.
And it would be funny to somehow have VT get left out and see Seth Greenberg spontaneously combust, although they're probably in no matter what. -
swamisezFsu is definitely a bruiser. However as a heel club I'd be focused on Clemson. Plenty there to keep yall busy.
-
swamisezFSU ain't shooting a lick at the moment but they definitely worry me more than the hokies.
-

I know. I already said I wouldn't be surprised to see Clemson win tomorrow, especially after the way they played today.swamisez;708521 wrote:Fsu is definitely a bruiser. However as a heel club I'd be focused on Clemson. Plenty there to keep yall busy. -
swamisezWhen was the last time Clemson won a game over UNC in the state of nc. Gotta be since the 50's. Lots of Clemson fans here though. Should be a good day of hoops.

That's a good question. I'm trying to find the answer, but no luck yet.
Meanwhile, VT and FSU are doing their best PSU/Wisc impression, with the Noles leading 27-19 at the half. I can see Seth Greenberg's core temperature rising as I type this. -
swamisezThe only thing that makes this bearable was the halftime performance by the fsu golden girls and some bball acrobats.
