Predict the 4 #1 Seeds

  • Ironman92
It sounds fairly easy but there are very many ifs and buts remaining.

    Mine:

    Ohio State
    Kansas
    Pitt
    Notre Dame

Duke, Purdue, Wisconsin, BYU, Texas, UNC in the mix to be considered

    Ohio State
    Kansas
    Pitt
    Duke

Wisconsin IF they upset Ohio State this afternoon in the VCA.
  • athlete37
Agreed barring a Wisconsin upset today and B10 Tournament Championship for them
  • Ironman92
Wisconsin controls their own destiny IMO

Wisconsin controls their own destiny IMO
    Correct.

But one loss and they have no chance. Whether it comes today or in the B10 tourny.

    1. Ohio State
    2. Wisconsin
    3. Purdue
    4. MSU

Exactly. If Wisconsin beats OSU twice in the next week and Purdue as well, then God bless 'em lol
  • wildcats20
    1. Ohio State
    2. Wisconsin
    3. Purdue
    4. MSU
    Obviously.

    3. Purdue

All 4 would share the number 1 overall seed.

I think there is a shot if they beat OSU today or in the tourney as well as Purdue in the tourney.

Thats 2 wins over OSU on the year, 1 on the road or neutral. I dont think it would be enough, but I dont think you can eliminate them from discussion if that happens. Especially since their only loss in the time would be to OSU, today or in the final.

Kansas, Ohio State, Pitt and Duke.

I say Duke because if the Blue Devils sweep all three games in Greensboro next weekend, with a win over North Carolina, then I think Duke will likely get the nod. This, of course, depends on what Wisconsin does, as, I think the Badgers undisputedly are a one seed if they beat Ohio State in Columbus and then win the Big Ten tournament in Indy.

If Notre Dame wins the Big East tournament it will be Ohio State, Kansas, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh.

If Notre Dame doesn't win the Big East and Duke wins the ACC it will be Ohio State, Kansas, Pittsburgh, and Duke.
  • reclegend22
    ^^I would agree with that.
  • Ironman92
What if Pitt and ND get upset in the quarter or semis?
  • Cleveland Buck
Pitt already has a 1 seed locked up unless DePaul beat Connecticut and Georgetown and then knocks them off. Of course, DePaul couldn't beat the Connecticut or Georgetown women's teams, so that isn't going to happen. If Notre Dame doesn't win the Big East, that opens the door for the last #1 spot. Duke gets it if they win the ACC. If they don't, it's wide open. Texas might have a shot if they win the Big XII including a win over Kansas. Purdue would have a chance if they win the Big Ten beating Ohio State in the final. North Carolina would have a shot if they win the ACC with a win over Duke in the final.

Ohio State, Pitt, and Kansas are locks IMO by virtue of their outright conference finishes. Even if they lose in their first tournament game, they should all still be 1s.

The last 1 seed is up for grabs between Duke and Notre Dame IMO depending on which team goes furthest in their conference tournament.

Ohio State pretty much locked up the number 1 overall seed in my mind today. Kansas and Pitt are fighting for the number 2. Duke/ND fighting for the final fourth seed
  • Fly4Fun
    Like everyone else has said...

    Locks:
    Ohio State
    Pitt
    Kansas

And Duke/ND for the 4th spot... I'm going to go with ND on that one.
