Thank you, Seth Davis, for saying what I have been saying

wrote:"Speaking of Texas, I won't overreact to the pratfall at Colorado, but I do think it's worth mentioning that much of the perception of this team's excellence is tethered to its huge comeback victory at Kansas. This is not an excuse, but that game was played the day after the Jayhawks learned that sophomore forward Thomas Robinson's mother had died suddenly of a heart attack. The players were up all night crying with their teammate, and they grieved all morning without wanting to eat breakfast. The team was able to ride its emotions to a 15-point lead, but after that KU ran out of gas. Would Texas have made that comeback if the tragedy hadn't happened? We'll never know for sure, but I believe the answer is no. -
SportsAndLadyBefore anyone goes crazy...let me say this:
UT beat KU on our home court, they deserve the victory and it was a great victory for them. What I have been saying, was that it would not have happened if the team wasn't going through TRob's mothers death. I just can't wait til the big12 tourney, hopefully we get a rematch. -
vball10setwe understand, S&L, but Seth Davis?

I agree. Kansas is way better than the best, most complete team in the country. -

Never said it was official...just thought you guys would like to hear that it isn't just me saying that was the reason for the loss. -
AutomatikHahahahaha
LET IT DIE! -
wildcats20It's a good excuse and by excuse I mean it's logical that's why.
But who's to say Texas doesn't win even if the kids mom doesn't die? -

Lol no he wasn't. But I did get a great laugh out of it. -
wildcats20Don't get me wrong, I think Kansas is a better team.
But I also think Texas is a better team than Colorado and Nebraska. -
supermanLet's look at the flip side. Maybe if the mom doesn't die, Kansas doesn't come out on an emotional high and they get housed by Texas at home.

reclegend22Said Seth Davis, "The players were up all night crying with their teammate, and they grieved all morning without wanting to eat breakfast."
LOL. That is awesome and also unbelievably stupid.
Thank you for sharing. -
