With their name, and RPI it very well could

But the B10 is sooooooooooooo strong this year.

BTW this is sarcasm. No one get their panties in a bunch.

How in the world is MSU 14-11. I love Izzo, but this team is sloppy and gets away from what they do best, pound the paint.

Did Derrell Summers graduate or something? My goodness he was invisible.

I think they'll be in if they win the 3 of 5. 9-9 in the B1G will probably do it.

Pretty much. 17-13 doesn't mean much when you look at who they have played compared to a 20-10 team in some other league.
  • gerb131
Matta needs to run that diamond trap more esp in bigger games. Lauderdale has earned more minutes and William Buford aint coming back is what I got from this game.

Yeah their out of conference schedule is always what will trump some other team who doesn't play the same type games.
  • Prescott
I hope MSU makes the tournament. They would be a very dangerous 8-9-10 seed.
  • ytownfootball
    MSU's sos is #14

RPI is 47. Really thought it would be higher.

In all honesty, I wouldn't want to have them in my bracket

Their "good wins" aren't all that impressive though, a bad loss in Iowa too (at home)

Tournament added 3 at larges though, could be MSU's savior.

True. Guess I'm just too used to seeing them up there.

I believe Buford is gone. He is a 1st round pick.

Buford can flat stroke it. Hope he comes back but if he continues as he has played of late....well, bye bye.

    I think so as well.

It doesn't matter who you play if you don't beat any of them.

Ive already stated I think MSU is going to be the 68th team and win 5 games en route to the Final Four. It would only be fitting for the first year of expansion.
  • Prescott
MSU did a great job limiting Sullinger's touches. He only took 8 shots and he had 2 rebounds.
  • Midstate01
Satch sullinger just told Dave biddle that sully will be back for his sophmore season.

This! People keep talkign about how tough MSU schedule, and it is. But you have to win some of those games, and they haven't. 17-13 isn't going to get them in the NCAA. They have had some BAD losses on top of that. And they haven't won on the road in the Big Ten...which the NCAA will frown upon as well.

BTW, good ball game tonite, great atmosphere at the Schott! Who woulda thought with Sullinger playing his worst game of the year, that OSU wins this by double digits. Did TV say anything about him being sick/ill? He just didn't look himself tonite, didn't have his usual hop in his game, looked pretty tired and looked like he almost was going to throw up during one of the timeouts.

They did and give them credit, but Sully was off it appeared, he lost the handle more than a couple times when he usually doesn't.

I'll take that bet right now. As a matter of fact, I may take the best they don't even make the NCAA. This team is way to sloppy, turn it over way too many times and don't have the usual MSU composure of past MSU teams. As I said prior to this game, u don't just flip a switch and turn good this late in the season.
