Michigan at Ohio State Thursday 7pm

dave68-64 last time in Ann Arbor. Buckeyes didn't feed Sullinger much that game.
Question for Buckeye fans, is there a visitors section in the upper level anywhere? I'm assuming the top part of one of the corner sections is but can't find out anything online. I'll call the ticket office tomorrow if nobody knows what section. Can't pass up a chance to see one of my favorite teams and the best team in the country. Thanks in advance. -
DeyDurkie5I'll take the bucks at home..Their next two games will be the big ones imo

WriterbuckeyeHere's hoping a good ass kicking happens. This team needs to start playing to its potential every game.

A fair majority of teams, almost all, do not play to their full potential every game, that's why its hard to go undefeated and win the NC in basketball.
We can ask for it all we want but the truth is that it won't happen. -

Why? I'd much rather have them face a lot of close games so they can get practice in a pressure packed situation. A wins a win. -
Fly4FunCount me in as another fan that isn't bothered too much by the NW game or the Illinois game. Both were on the road in boisterous environments. In one they were down a few possessions late but prevailed... in the other they were up, lost the lead but did what was necessary to win (good defense and got the ball to the big guy for the foul for FT's or an easy bucket if no foul). This team has shown it can win and will find a way to win.
I am really impressed with this squad... at this point I'm ready to say they are better than the Conley/Oden squad.
Hopefully this years team fulfills expectations in the post-season. -
WriterbuckeyeDon't get me wrong, I have no problem with how they've won this year...it's just frustrating to see how talented they can be and see them so "off" at times. But I get it, it's college basketball and that's how it has always been.
Amen to your last statement, Fly. -
mallymal614Ohio State plays at another gear when at home. I say they take this one by 15.

ytownfootballWhat actually are the expectations with two freshmen getting a lot of minutes? I mean sure they can play, but the tournament is a whole different animal. I actually don't have as high of expectations as I do hopes realistically.
-
WriterbuckeyeIf this team gets a no. 1 seed, they will almost certainly be playing their first two games in Cleveland. If they win those, the choice of regionals isn't great, with the East (NJ) being about the closest. Next closest is New Orleans.

gerb131Gotta lose at some point hopefully its not this one.

Azubuike241. Michigan lost at Indiana.
2. Michigan is 2-5 away from home this year.
3. Michigan hasn't been within single digits in Columbus since Thad Matta has been the head coach and I don't think they have done it since Brian Ellerbe was the head coach.
Ohio State rolls. Bet them straight up or with the points, and bet them big. -

Those 2 freshmen have played over 100 games together winning 2 AAU Titles -

Sooo, you're saying this game will be close?
I, like some of the others don't mind the close games. I think it better prepares the team for a deep March run, because lets face it, any team that makes a deep run will face some kind of adversity.
With that said, OSU is bound to lose a game or two, just as ling as it isn't against Bitchagain I'm fine! -

Freshman thing means nothing. Craft and Sully don't play like frosh and we are now 23 games into their career. In this day and age, everyone plays freshman. It is what it is and that can't be used as an excuse. I heard Calipari the other day, as we do every time he talks, about how young his team is. It gets old. As I said, its the norm in college basketball and we are far enough into a season that that can't be used as an excuse anymore. -
ytownfootballIt's not an excuse, it's a basis for setting reasonable expectations for a team with two frosh getting a lot of minutes heading into a tournament that neither have experienced. It's not AAU, it's not regular season, there's a difference. To think otherwise isn't realistic.

Ok, two frosh. But the rest of the team and starters are VERY experienced. And no, I don't buy into it being THAT different. More pressure, sure. But its basketball, same ball, same hoop height, etc, etc. As far as the pressure...they are dealing with that right now being undefeated, #1 in the country and taking everyones best shot each game. I have complete confidence this team can do well. That doesn't mean I expect a national title. I hope for one. But in the NCAA, as we have seen many a time...anything and everything can happen and the best team doesn't always win it all. -
Prescott
I don't think it does matter that much with top recruits because they have played with or against the best of the best in AAU.ball for 3 or 5 years. There is a familiarity that exists not only among teammates but with opponents.Freshman thing means nothing.
I do think OSU is almost a perfect situation for Sullinger, Craft, Thomas, etccc.. because there is so much experience on this team. -

This is where I'm at, I have hope but not the expectation, to me there's a huge difference. Doesn't mean I'd be any less disappointed but at least I know that there is a logical reason behind a loss. We've seen the "freshman" mistakes rear it's head too many times come tourney time, and get expounded upon by the media, if that happens it's something I expect. If, like we all hope, they come out and play like seasoned veterans that have been to the dance 3 years running, it will be just as big of a story.
I do think that their AAU play and relative comfort with one another does put them ahead of the curve, I just hope it's enough. -

You haven't noticed how well they read each other and that they are playing like upperclassmen. Thus far they have both come up biggest in the big games at the big moments. -

Hell who would be crazy enough to have the expectation for ANY team to win the NCC Title. Give me the field agaisnt ANY one team.ytownfootball;659084 wrote:This is where I'm at, I have hope but not the expectation, to me there's a huge difference. ALSO most of the top seeds will have a couple of Freshmen playing significant minutes. -
