Odd game to evaluate overall really. The first half, was obviously not very good. But I am not sure it was as bad as it looked. OSU just didn't shoot the ball well at all as well as having a few more turnovers then usual. Craft probably played the worst half he has played all season. Can't really get on the kid as he has been so good..that eventually at some point he was going to be off. Defensively, OSU was pretty solid overall and rebounded MUCH better than they did vs NW.
Second half just came down to OSU making some shots..which they eventually started doing. Lighty and Buford got going and OSU was pounding it inside to Sullinger.
FT are a concern, obviously. But I think this team is good enough shooting the ball, that in a close game, I am confident they will knock down FT...similar to what they did vs ILL.
One thing of note..although OSU shot a ton more FT than UM...the officiating was pitiful. Sullinger was getting absolutely MUGGED in the paint. Officials are letting other teams get away with so much its unreal. Then the disappointing thing is, when he then gets aggressive..its an offensive foul. He had two of those, and both were aweful calls where he was getting litterally tackled before he got the ball. He could have easily shot 6-8 more FT. Matta was as pissed as I have seen him all season about the officiating on Sullinger.
Great atmosphere at the Schott btw. Fun game.
