I'm not so certain of that. I think this is Sullinger's second true "personal challenge". The first was against Vernon Macklin and Sullinger had 26 and 10. I think OSU is looking to run their offense through Sullinger even more now than then. -
ytownfootballOn the subject of personal challenges, I kinda get the feeling that after the win at Illinois this team will start to believe they have a shot at really making their mark on OSU history. It's been 50 years since a Buckeye team started out 20-0...national championship years. I really think this has been pointed out and believe they'll be pretty damn focused, probably more than we've seen all year. I was worried about the Illini matchup, but after that win I think they are going to be a damn tough out no matter where they're playing. I could be wrong, but I hope not.
-
thedynasty1998I have no doubt that Ohio State will be the best team in every game the rest of the season, but that doesn't mean I expect them to run the table.
-
ytownfootballNo, certainly not. I think it will begin to set in that they're damn good if they stay focused though. I don't know, just a hunch that they're going to be pretty intense the rest of the way.
-
vball10setthey'll have to be, ytown, because from here on out every game vs. TOSU will be THE game for their opponent--the target continues to get bigger

If Ohio State can win AT Purdue, then I really do think they have a shot to go unbeaten. And of course it depends what matchups they get in the Big Ten tournament. -

Gotta go to Wisky and Purdue yet. Two tough places to win. One game at a time. More concerned with winning Big Ten. A win tonite, with NW and Mich coming up. Two very winnable games. Would put OSU at 10-0 in Big Ten, 2 game lead over Purdue. Def. in drivers seat. -
mallymal614Last years game at Purdue is currently on ESPN Classic. The game where Evan Turner took over in the final minutes to pull out a Buckeye victory.

JesterPurdue does not scare me nearly as much as Illinois did. They've got two scorers, Johnson and Moore. Nobody else on the team averages over 7 points per game. Not to mention, Johnson is their only low post threat. They don't have the bodies to throw at Sullinger like the Illini did. Ohio State has the ability to throw different defenders at Purdue's main threats. Sullinger, Lauderdale, and Thomas at Johnson, and i'm guessing Lighty, Craft, and maybe Buford at Moore. Get either of those two in foul trouble, and Purdue is in big trouble.
-
Terry_TateHonestly this is the game that I've been most worried about. Purdue us a tough team and I think Johnson goes for 25+ tonight. I say Ohio State holds on to win by 4, something like 67-63, but it should be a back and forth battle. Purdue is better than Illinois and I feel when crunch time hits they can produce because they're mentally tougher, as opposed to Illinois who I just don't think have what it takes when playing a really good team(as we saw Saturday).
