Penn State @ Ohio State

Penn State comes into Columbus after 2 nice wins over MSU and Illinois. Could be another close one for the Bucks!

    5:30p on the BTN.

We'll find out today if the Buckeyes are deserving of that #1 spot in the rankings. Penn State is better than they've been in quite some time.

I'm sure Craft will be checking Battle a large portion of the game. That will also be interesting.

If by 'quite some time', you mean 2 seasons ago, then I agree.

Penn State got smoked at Mississippi, embarrassed by Maryland and lost at home to Maine. They aren't good.

Ohio State will win comfortably, by at least 15. There is a reason the Buckeyes are an 18 point favorite.

There are 250+ D-1 teams in action today. That means almost 150 games. This game was the 4th largest spread of them all. There is a reason. Lets not talk up Penn State like this is going to be a "tough" game.

while i agree that PSU is not good. They are coming in HOT and confident. OSU will have to take that from them. But im saying osu 76-54

The Maine loss is a head scratcher, but those other losses were at the beginning of the season.

PSU seems to have been getting better over the last couple of weeks or so.. They've beaten MSU and Illinois, so that proves this is no team to take lightly. They have a good player too, which if he gets hot, can keep them in the game.

I don't think the game should be close (OSU 10+), but I wouldn't be surprised. For some reason, the B1G is just that way during conference play.

It very well could be a tough game. They've beat 2 pretty good teams, and Taylor Battle is one of the best players in the country.

Oh I'm not naive enough to think it "can't be a good game."

However, the earlier losses, the situation of the game (OSU at home and unbeaten) and PSU coming off two big conference wins points EVERY SIGN at it being a blow out. The spread backs that up, and I've lost enough money in my lifetime thinking I can out-smart the odds-makers.

OSU in a route. I'll say 81-59. Never close outside of the first 8 minutes.

    I certainly hope you're right!

in the Big Ten ,as in the Big East, all conference games are tough...from top to bottom these two conferences are unparalleled

    I don't know.

Look at 13-16 in the Big East. Those teams NEVER win any games unless they beat one another.

good point, but wouldn't you agree that these are the two deepest conferences?
  • Laley23
People I think say a game will be close so they feel better about the team if they win a close game. In reality, it COULD be close and a win is a win, but if this is under 10, OSU will not have played a good game, and wont have played near their capability.

Id expect a 17-20 pt win for the Bucks.

Game is officially a sellout .... Hopefully the fans can make the Schott loud

I'm beginning to get the urge to vomit. Ohio State is the fucking #1 team in the country correct?!? (According to people who aren't me lol)

This is a game OSU wins by 15+ or they don't deserve that title. Get some fucking balls and some confidence. Teams that are not ranked get their asses beat by the #1 team in the country every night. Start acting like OSU can do it. You all sound like you are covering your asses in case they do end up losing one day.

    Like FSU?

I'm on record as not caring about the #1 ranking or losing a couple of games. None of those things matter come March, but thanks for the pep talk, I guess.

I'd rather see OSU tested than blowing everybody away. Is it good to have a blowout win? Of course. But you're not going to blow everybody away, you're going to have to win the close ones come March/April.
  • CinciX12
Midstate, fine, be a pussy and never enjoy the fact you are supposed to beat down the teams in your conference. Let's be afraid of everybody!

It wasn't a pep talk it was annoyance at the fact that if OSU was playing Coppin State tonight we would all be hearing how OSU has to play really well to beat them. Bottom line is I don't know much about Penn State and haven't watched a game of theirs this season, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say Penn State's best player should be the 6th best player on the court tonight. Why is everyone so cautious?

Reminds me of watching the Bucks on ESPN+(which was on CBS) back in the day when they still played at SJA.
