lots of slipping an sliding.... probably one of the worst sets of turf we've seen for a National title game
  • Cleveland Buck
That one was a legitimate safety.

It was a free kick. Kicking team gets to choose how they kick.

it was. You have the option of teeing the ball up or punting it away

Which is why I still question why Tress had my boy Buchanan punt.

Was going to say the same thing.

Wide open TD, blown coverage by Oregon.

But Auburn left too much time on the clock.
  • darbypitcher22
    nice call...
  • charliehustle14
How in the hell do you let a WR get that wide open?
  • ptown_trojans_1
Yeah, not surprised by that TD. Oregon's defense is flat exhausted. They have been out there for nearly 9 minutes, if you include the 6+ minute drive and that drive.
  • Terry_Tate
Didn't realize they had a choice, never seen a kickoff on a safety. Thanks.
  • Cleveland Buck
All Auburn has to do is run it between the tackles the rest of the game and Oregon has no hope of stopping them.

I don't think the "sets of turf" are the problem. Its the new cleats. I don't remember which game it was but there was another bowl game where a Nike school had the new cleats and they were slipping all over the place. They didn't bring back ups. I did read that Oregon has the old style of cleats in case they want to switch.

    Hey Mush Mouth...

They are no longer the Phoenix Cardinals.
  • darbypitcher22
that looked like a pretty good scrap....
  • karen lotz
An Oregon TD here will get the game back on track for the over.

Thanks guys for the recap. Cant believe AUB's horrible secondary that they got two picks.
  • krambman
This has been an odd first half of football.

As fast and flashy Oregon's offense is and with Barner and that other good returner returning kicks, you'd think Oregon could put together at least one decent KO return.
  • bigkahuna
Herbie "There's a lot of flags on the field."

    No, that's Oregon's feet.

Brent "This stadium is home to the Phoenix Cardinals."

No, it's home to the Arizona Cardinals.

My only guess is that you get more hang time on a punt, which makes it easier to cover?? Kickoffs are typically lower w/ more chance of a return, which is increased when kicking from the 20.

wow... 23 having a huge game so far.... seems as if LeMichael is just being used as a decoy...
