    Anyone seen these?

    Fair or not?

I say fair, i guess, though they don't have quite the same bite considering OSU just won the Sugar bowl. Gee already apologized, said he was gonna "eat crow," as it were, but i know where they're coming from. Still, the whole thing got blown out of proportion from the beginning.

Indifferent...Gee spoke when and what he shouldn't have, no one else did...but whatever

Bielema dropped a load in his pants, lost a game he shouldn't have, don't like him anyway

    Awesome.

TCU fans should enjoy their 15 minutes, then get back to the bottom of the barrel where they belong.

Cracks me up the that the article says they "exacted revenge on Ohio State." I am sure the Buckeyes are really hurt by someone putting money in the local economy.
  • jordo212000
    Classic. haha

Gee comments were stupid initially and they continue to look even more foolish.
  • vball10set
LOL- I think they're funny, but at the same time idiotic by whomever ponied up the dough to do this...but hey, if that's the way they want to spend their money

    Fair and funny.

I thought Gee was an idiot when he made the comments, and TCU proved him wrong on the field.

Looks to me like those are Clear Channel boards. Doesn't that payment go to San Antonio Texas?

It would be funny if OSU lost. OSU won a BCS bowl for the second straight year... who cares what others have to say?
  • Prescott
Beating Wisconsin in Pasadena is not the same as beating Wisconsin in Madison.
  • Sonofanump
I understand taht Gee made the comments, but why would this sign be in Columbus and not Madison?

I agree. I think its rather stupid.

You know what they say...act like you've been there before. But I guess TCU hasn't. Like I said....stupid.

    Where is Gee's office?
  • Tiernan
A TCU grad living in Groveport paid for these. I guess this is considered comedy in Texas.
  • Con_Alma
It's not comedy but it is a clear message that TCU alumni heard Dr. Gee's idiotic comments and are providing evidence that the TCU faithful are confident that they are invalid.

If that's truly the case, then they're more insecure than I thought...as someone posted earlier--act like you've been there, even though you haven't.
  • Con_Alma
I'm not really sure how that indicates insecurity but I guess that your view is probably as biased coming to your conclusion as as theirs is in being motivated to request such signs.

okay, let me simplify it....hey TCU fans- GTF over it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normally I do agree with you on act like you've been there before, but its not like TCU or the alum who paid for it fired the first shot. Gee made the mistake of calling TCU out. The signs are funny more than anything and pretty much harmless. A little good natured ribbing doesn't hurt anyone.

I think they get to choose when to get over it do they not??

How the heck is telling them to GTF over it a simplification of your interpretation of them being insecure by virtue of them paying for signs?

It's more like you saying, "Whatever".

    LOL--whatever

Blame Gee. He's the one who opened his mouth and that type of thing can bite you in the ass.

Some people still hate/criticize Dan Fouts for shit he said 8 years ago during the BCS title game. Some fans of a team get over things, some don't. If Gee never makes that statement this doesn't happen and if Wisky beats TCU this doesn't happen. I mean, I can't really blame whoever did this for doing it. The stage was set for them.

OSU fans just won another BCS Bowl game so I don't figure this will bother them very much.

It's called "playing pretend", as if they had actually beaten Ohio State.

The fact that they got so worked up by a ridiculous statement by a college president who looks like Orville Redenbacher shows they're taking this a little too far. If Tressel, or Gene Smith, or one of the players, or someone affiliated with OSU who knows even a little bit about football said that, then I could see them being upset.
  • j_crazy
gee's an idiot. i'm okay with TCU ribbing OSU, they beat the only team that OSU couldn't beat.
