I hope that maybe just once one of those guys throws a lookout block and he gets whacked. Maybe that will refocus him up a bit on the task at hand -

Why would they think that? Pryor made a dumb mistake, why do we assume hes going to quit on his team? Has he done that at any point this season? Nows hes going to do it because hes suspended for 5 games? I dont understand this logic -

pinstriperWhat's the fan ratio down there??? I live here in ARK and all the TV stations keep showing the ARK pep rallies and pics of Bourbon ST saying that "N.O. is taken over by Hog fans". I find it hard to believe that OSU doesn't have as many or more fans down there.
*on a side note - are you annoyed yet by the stupid Hog Call??? Could be the dumbest thing in college sports -
lhslep134Not many updates. Just the presser from yesterday....there are definitely more Arkansas fans here, but a good OSU showing as well. Things got pretty testy on Bourbon St last night, a TON of SEC chest thumping which is so annoying. And yes, wooooo pig soooie is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
Holdingout, I said last year on this thread (I started one from the Rose Bowl) that Oregon was way too cocky and OSU was going to win. I don't have a prediction this year based solely on how the teams are carrying themselves, both Arkansas and OSU are excited to play and understand the quality of the opponent. It's going to come down to the pressure they can get on Mallet.
I'm going downstairs to the media room I'll try and get a few more opinions and post them. -

No joke, I saw a tweet from one of the ESPN guys last night that said an OSU fan got beat up by Arkansas fan in the middle of Bourbon Street last night. The crowd that surrounded them started chanting "SEC! SEC!" I'll try to find the link. -

I've just never understood the conference chest thumping thing. As an OSU fan, I dislike the rest of the B10. Come bowl season, I find myself rooting against the B10 as much as I root for them. OSU is my only priority.karen lotz;624356 wrote:No joke, I saw a tweet from one of the ESPN guys last night that said an OSU fan got beat up by Arkansas fan in the middle of Bourbon Street last night. Me neither...I equate it to being a band wagoner, your team blows this year so chest thump the conference. Deflect the fact your team sucks by touting conference superiority. Weak minded bullshit.
I do however want to see defeated opponents do well, it only helps with your teams perception, but I don't lose sleep when Sparty gets pounded, or UM lays an egg again. -

I cheer for the teams OSU has played, minus Michigan, and i always cheer for Northwestern. I enjoyed seeing MSU and UM smacked. Thought it sucked that NW lost. impartial with Iowa and Illinois. Wisky losing sucked, but Bielema is such an ass I am ok with Wisky losing -

I do find myself rooting for a good deal of the Big Ten teams, but it's not a big deal if they win or lose. Personally, the big ten can win 1 game and as long as it's Ohio State, I'm ecstatic. On the other hand, the Big Ten can only lose 1 game and if it's Ohio State, I am not very happy. -
vball10sethey liberty, what's the reaction to the RR firing down there in NOLA?

Well he's not fired yet haha, but not surprised. People don't think Harbaugh will go there. -

lhslep134Well gentleman, it was a pleasure giving you guys updates, that was my last time broadcasting an Ohio State football game, and boy was it a damn good game and a damn good time in NOLA.
From what I hear all 5 will be coming back, but in my unprofessional opinion I still think Boom may leave. Thanks to you whose semi gave a crap about what I had to say despite my debacle of a defensive Big 10 thread (not as epic as Thadeus, right Karen )
I'll be broadcasting basketball all year (and no I don't look or sound like my 12 year old "colleague") so if you guys are ever bored tune in to ohiostatesports.net because most of the games aren't on TV (well the Big 10 ones might be). -
vball10setthanks for all the updates, liberty-I really enjoyed them...and hope to hear you broadcasting from the Final Four in Houston come April
-
thedynasty1998Thanks for the updates in what was surely a busy week for you. I'm sure you could have found much better things to do than update us, but it is appreciated.
What was the vibe in the locker room like after the game, if you were in there? -

Ditto. He really has nothing to gain by returning. He isn't going to improve his stock much by coming back. He is what he is, a 190 lb RB with average to below average footspeed and quicks. Let's say he comes back... Berry and Hall will be getting the touches next season. If either of those guys go off and have a great start to the season, do you think Tress is going to take carries away from 2 guys who have been doing the right thing? Both have higher ceilings than Boom right now. -

This. I like seeing the Big Ten do well, root for them must generally. But when its all said and done, all I care about is OSU. The whole "SEC, SEC" is comical to me. And as i have said, and stick by...most generally, its "SEC" when their own team isn't doing well. -

Haven't there been SEC chants after each of the last 4 BCS championship games? -
