Scarlet Buckeye's outlook for OSU next season

  • devil1197
All I am saying is that Miller coming out of HS has a much better arm and throwing abilities than Pryor did when he stepped foot on campus. With an additional 6 months of extra work, Miller could be ready to go if needed to start.

We will see who knows what they are talking about next September. Pryor will be the QB after he sets out his suspension. Miller will red shirt and you will all be dam glad about it this time next year.

Winner, yes, but terrible passer. He won 3 straight b10 titles by not losing them and having our awesome defenses prevent opposing offenses from scoring. I'm fine with that, I really am, I'm grateful he came here, but at this point with everything off the field good riddance to him and I can't wait to see whoever leads our offense next year whether it's Graham, Guiton, or Miller.

Like I said, I realize Pryor isn't great, and you can even argue he isn't even good. But like you said, he does enough to win. And when Miller is starting next year and they get beat multiple times in the Big Ten, we will all wish Pryor was back...because I'll take a winner over a stat filler any day of the week.

I wouldn't pencil Miller in just yet. Coaches are high on Graham's development and Guiton's not a shmuck either.

IMO, Pryor will be back next year, Braxton Miller will be redshirted, and Kenny Guiton will get the nod over Joe Bauserman until TP serves out his suspension...and I have absolutely no idea where Graham fits into the equation

If Tressel plays Miller at QB,he will not be doing what is best for him to get him to the NFL

Miller would be much more valueable to Ohio State as a Percy Harvin/Reggie Bush type player

And you forget,Harvin played QB till he was a JR in HS

what in the HELL are you talking about? please, spare yourself the humiliation and run far, far away
  • Ty Webb
Have you fucking seen what kind of athlete he is??

He is way too good of an athlete to play at QB,much like Crabtree,Harvin,or Cribbs.

Tressel will be doing him a dis-service by playing him at QB
  • vball10set
Ty, come on now---he was recruited as a QB, and at this stage has the tools to be an excellent college QB--let's wait and see how he develops before we get him ready for the NFL, okay?
  • Ty Webb
Crabtree was recurited as a QB too,and you see how that turned out
  • dat dude
Ty Webb;614704 wrote:Crabtree was recurited as a QB too,and you see how that turned out

Wrong, Crabtree was recruited as a WR/S.

And its obvious you haven't seen Miller's arm strength. Not to mention Miller wants to play QB, and was recruited as a QB, therefore it would be absolutely stupid for Tressel to switch him to a WR.

What's with everyone trying to convert our QB's to receivers? lol

Not everyone, just a dumbass know-nothing.

Yes, he is a winner, I do agree with this. But people who do stupid selfish shit like this...are NOT going to lead your team to anything of significance IMO. I said OSU would never win a title with Troy Smith when after he got in trouble. He showed his true colors at the end.

I for one, will NOT wish Pryor to be back, IF he decides to leave. If he stays, I am willing to give him a chance at redemption. But it won't be about wins/losses. It will be about how he carries himself as a person the rest of the way at OSU if he stays.

If he leaves, good luck to him. And I'll root the next guy to step in and do things the right way, on and off the field.

Are you talking about Miller to WR? lol Please tell me your joking? The #1 QB recruit in the country? Have you seen the kid play? Sky is the limit. Only knock is that he is a bit injury prone.

    Question.

Are the Big Ten Championships, wins over Michigan, and the bowl wins not of any significance to you?

I have read good things about Graham as well. And IMO, if Guiton can't be out Bauserman, he isn't THAT good. I have seen Miller a handful of times in person/tv. The kid is the real deal IMO. Great athlete who throws a very nice ball, quick release. Much more polished then Pryor coming out of HS. I would never expect a true frosh to step in at QB and do great things. But IMO, if he is the future, throw him in and let him learn on the run.

Good point. But when your picked to get to the title game this year...this year was a letdown for me personally after the loss to a Wisky team. It happens. OSU did well. But didn't live up to expectations. Pryor has done well, made team better. But lets be honest, anyone of the QB on the roster could have beat UM the past few years. As far as Big Ten title...I'll give you that. But I guess by my "significant" comment, I meant national title.

So Big Ten titles, wins over michigan, and BCS bowl wins don't mean anything of significance to you? Gotcha.

If Terrelle Pryor is not the starting QB next year,Ohio State will be 9-3 or 8-4

Centralbucksfan, where are you getting that Miller is the No.1 QB recruit in the country? I've looked at three major recruiting services and each one has Jeff Driskel (who is committed to Florida) as No.1

Are you stupid? Every major recruiting service rates QB's as 2 separate categories, Pro-style, and Dual threat/combo/runner, etc. Miller is #1 in the latter while your new Florida mancrush is #1 in the other category.
  • Ty Webb
    Yes..I know that

They also have a combined list and Driskel is No.1 on all three

Please provide links(not like it matters,) But Rivals and Maxpreps use separate lists, Scout is the only one that uses a combined list.
