Dane Sanzenbacher! OSU team MVP over TP!
-
Be NiceYour thoughts.
-
Pick6link?
-
Be NiceHeard it on Channel 10 about 35 minutes ago unless they had bad info.
-
hoops23This was announced last week.
Dane had a great year and has been very clutch. -
Be NiceThey were making a big deal about it on Wall to Wall Sports tonight. I must have missed it in the Col. Dispatch. I'm surprised.
-
Pick6Dane had a great season, but I dont see how you CANT give it to Pryor. Without him we lose to Miami, Wisconsin, PSU, Iowa, and Illinois/Michigan. Even without Sanz, there is still a good chance we win all of those games.
-
Be Nice^^^I gotta agree. Without the passes from TP Dane is not the MVP. The play starts with the QB. Dane is a great, great player no doubt.
Does this vote tell us we're missing something? -
Pick6matter of fact, i think you might even be able to give it to boom over dane

We did lose to Wisconsin! -

Yes and that is that the voters see Sanzenbacher as being more valuable to the team than TP.Be Nice;598731 wrote:Does this vote tell us we're missing something?
Despite TP's much vaunted athleticism, Sanzenbacher has been a clutch player and a good team leader this season in my opinion. Sanzenbacher is a senior so I think he deserves it. TP will no doubt win it next year. -
thedynasty1998How was this determined? By coaches or players?
-
thedynasty1998Was determined by a vote of the team. On the other Pryor thread, there is talk about his attitude and this supports what I said over there. Pryor is not as well liked by his teammates as many people think. Not to say that's the sole reason why he didn't win this award, but I would imagine in factored in.
-
RedRider1Not saying Dane deserved it over TP...but how many times did he make circus catches on poorly thrown balls? He's made "Gozanlez at the Big House" type catches several times this year.
He made TP look real good at times. -
Ankle BreakerA little surprised by this but I do think Sanz will have a nice career in the NFL. Good for him.
-
dat dudeIn regards to other Buckeyes winning "awards," Chekwa was just named 2nd team Walter Camp All-American. He was the only Buckeye on this list.
Now cue the "Chekwa sucks" idiots. -
vball10set^^^and he named ESPN All American 1st team yesterday
-
Scarlet_BuckeyeI think Dane deserves it. He played with his heart every single game. Not sure I can say the same about Pryor (who did have a very sold year, however). Is Pryor deserving? Sure. But I think you have to consider the fact that most people expected Pryor to carry OSU to the title game this season and a Heisman finalist. He did neither of this, and therefore I'm not sure you can say he is more deserving than Sanz when it can be argued that Pryor "came up short." No one can argue Dane came up short.

That is an interesting perspective on this. I think most would agree that Pryor underachieved slightly this year (although he did improve tremendously from last year), and that Sanzenbacher exceeded all expectations anyone had for him. -

Really agree with that. Pryor didn't do what was expected of him this year. Dane exceeded expectation. -

Wow, can you seriously shut the hell up. What makes you think your know Pryor isnt "as well liked" by his teammates as people like to think? You got some inside connections? Or are you just basing that off of a team voted award lmao. -

Yes, I do have some inside connections, if you must know. -

I'm sure. You are nothing but a troll who tries to hide it. You and some others hate for Pryor on here is just pathetic.
Also, Scarlet, those are some good points on why Dane might have been voted MVP. -
Crimson streakIt's really not that off that Pryor isn't very liked by his teammates. Just look at the way he talks about himself and how much he talks. It doesn't surprise me one bit

Well I'm convinced now.
