Noter Dame not talking about suicide victim who claimed to be attacked by football

Tiernan^^^
If all that is true (and I can't imagine someone writing it if it's not). I sincerely apologize man...I take very seriously the sacrifice our Vets made in all wars and especially Viet Nam. I can sometimes take the fun a little too far and be a real jerk...I know that.
That doesn't mean I'll lighten much on ND or scUM, but I do respect what you must have overcome having lost your Dad so young. Again it probably don't mean much now but I'm sorry... and have a great Thanksgiving with your family. -
karen lotzI hate that I am bringing a thread started by ncf back from the near dead but I figured it didn't really need a new thread.
Press release regarding the investigation of the Seeburg allegations.

She never made an allegation of rape nor does the evidence even suggest a rape occurred as some media outlets have mistakenly
reported. -

Sounds like someone got paid off. God bless America and the Catholic church! -
rock_knutneFucking media blew that story way out of proportion!

You really believe that or is that an attempt at humor? -

Where are you getting someone was paid off? The Chicago Tribune ran a story saying she was raped, when she never alleged it and outside the touching of her breast, nothing else happened. Like I said when the trolls came out with their comments, the girl had a similar situation come up at another school and had been on medication for depression prior to the incident in South Bend.Bigdogg;603105 wrote:Sounds like someone got paid off. I don't think rape of alter boys or a young lady is funny at all. Just saying something sounds really odd about this. -

Get the fuck out of here with that talk you piece of shit. -
athlete37Rape kit came back negative, the girl had made accusations at her previous school before transferring to St. Mary's, and the girl didn't even mention rape in her allegations at Notre Dame. I want to know why everyone in the media took an 18 year old and made him guilty before investigation. Girl's mom went into the administration building and demanded things be done, sorry not going to throw an innocent kid under the bus before everything's checked out. It's called Due Process. This has nothing to do with the fact that he'll be a solid contributer to the team or anything, I would say the same about any 18 year old. Hope his name never gets out, but I have a feeling the parents are going to have more to say before this is over.

september63I do hope there was no rape committed. Post ur source for a negative finding and Ill start buying into it?

Again, read the release I posted today. The girl didn't accuse anyone of rape and there was no evidence. She talked to several friends about it before she went in and talked to police, all of them were interviewed and none of them said anything about rape. The police did say that the girl's story and those of the people she talked to had differing stories. As athlete pointed out today and I said when this first came out, she transferred to St Mary's after a very similar incident occurred at her previous school. She was on medication for depression long before this supposed incident occurred in South Bend. -

The word you are looking for is "here." It was spelled correctly in the post you quoted, and you even edited your post and are still too stupid to correct it. I am beginning to understand why you have such a hatred for Notre Dame, you wish you were one of those altar boys that were abused.ccrunner609;603612 wrote:you get the fuck outta hear..............its proven fact that the Catholic church suppresses shit all the time. How many preists had their way with an alter boy? 100's of not1,000's? Its not like he is making this shit up. (bigdogg)
So what do you expect us to think? Smells crooked to me also. -
sherm03Like I said when this "story" first came out...wait for everything to come out first.
Apparently people still haven't learned from the Duke Lacrosse incident... -

I agree. Yet, you must admit, the Catholic church/institution hasnt acted in the past in a way where they should be given the benefit of the doubt? -
Tobias FünkeBut ccrunner and anyone else who thinks the Catholic Church gives a shit about defending a football player at Notre Dame is a damn fool. It's no secret the Catholic Church is mildly pissed at Notre Dame for how liberal they've become. Please be cognizant of the "mildly."
What's more likely, the Catholic Church covered something up when the police, friends, and girl never accused anyone of rape, or some idiot journalist wanted to make a name for himself and brought up a non-story for a big headline?
What is disgusting here (that's how it's spelled, right?) is the lack of journalistic ethics and ccrunner's grammar once again. -
rock_knutneWhat does the Catholic Church have to do with this case? You dumb fuck haters will stop at nothing, especially ccrunner, who should find a cliff to run off of!

Exactly and that's problem with this country! Wack jobs like cc and the rest of the brain dead haters on here immediately rush to judgement........this isn't Cold War Russia, it's the USA, innocent until proven guilty! -

athlete37And that's all I'm saying about the guy, so don't ask me who it is. If you wanna guess who it is, then go ahead. You have a 1 in 22 chance (or however other freshmen are on the team), but it'd be foolish for me to say the kid's name so idiots like CC runner can make false accusations.
-
karen lotzDid I miss something athlete? What did you say?
-
athlete37No, I was just pre-emptively telling the trolls I'm not going to say who it was. I know it's only a matter of time before they ask
-
karen lotzGot ya. Some really really bad journalism going on in regards to this starting with Melinda Henneberger,
-
september63Im happy for ND. Enough turmoil this season. Sorry for this young girls family though. Athlete, why should anyone believe or care IF you think you know the football player in question?

Yup, wouldn't be surprised if we see a lawsuit or some sort of sanctions on that. And September, you never know with people like CC and Tiernan. Also, condolences to the girl's family. You wouldn't believe what this has done to turn a lot of St. Mary's students and alums against Notre Dame, though, before they knew the whole story
