I don't think we're getting our panties in a bunch, we're just expressing our opinion. It's not like we are writing strongly worded letters or something haha.

As to the Oregon comparison, that's Oregon's shtick. For the past 10 years or so, they have done the flashy uniform route because that is their way of differentiating themselves from other programs with history and tradition. Oregon has no tradition to stamp all over...

OSU could come out in drag and I really wouldn't care as long as they get the W.

This Saturday will mark the 107th edition of the greatest rivalry in all of sports. Michigan (7-4) will enter Ohio Stadium looking for their first win over the eighth-ranked Buckeyes (10-1) since 2003.

The Wolverines lead the overall series 57-43-6, including a 27-23-2 mark in Columbus. However, since Woody Hayes was hired as head coach in 1951, the Buckeyes lead the series 31-26-2.

This series began in 1897 and has been continuous since 1918. The Buckeyes didn't secure a win over the Wolverines until the 16th meeting in 1919. Since 1918, Michigan leads the series 45-43-4. They have outscored Ohio State by a total of 46 points in that span.

The Buckeyes have won six-consecutive games in this series and eight of nine. The current winning streak is the longest in Ohio State history, but still trails the nine-straight that Michigan won from 1901-1909.

Michigan is 15-19 under Rich Rodriguez and 1-9 against ranked opponents. They are also 3-7 in November since Rodriguez took over.

Jim Tressel is 8-1 against Michigan and 28-4 in November.

This will be the first time since 1965-67 that Michigan will enter this game unranked three years in a row.

    little sniglet from the O-Zone

I'm getting more and more nervous as Saturday draws near. Just because of Denard's ability to operate in that offense. In year's past I wouldn't worry because I didn't think an injured Henne/freshman Mallet, Steven Threet, Nick Sheridan, or Tate Forcier really posed much of a threat. If not for Denard, I'd say an OSU win was in the bank.

I think we'll ok. I think we'll have a spy for Denard, and if our defensive line can get pressure like we did last week on Stanzi and get up field, it'll force Denard to panic a little bit and rush through his reads

Good luck with the spy thing.

I'm not really at all worried about this game. I think the Buckeyes roll. Michigan's offense is not all that impressive against teams with defenses. Yes, they put points up once the game is in its late stages. And the fact that Michigan's defense is one of the worst in the country also adds to my confidence that this will be a walk in the park for the Buckeyes.

Teams with defenses, like the illini defense that was talked up on here before the Mich gm?

Is Michigan beats OSU, it'll equal Appy St beating Michigan as the biggest college football upset ever.
  • bigdaddy2003
    OSU 49

    Michigan 28

Why do juveniles insist on using the obtuse phrase "panties in a bunch"?

Stanford over USC that same year as Appy and UM would still be a bigger upset i think. They were a 41 point underdog lol

At least that Stanford-USC game had a line. Oddsmakers didn't even bother putting a line on UM and Appalachian State.

The spy would have to be Rolle or Hines, I'd think.

lol--of course you'd think that...BUT, a FCS school beating a FBS school (with the pedigree that tsun had at the time) was a much bigger upset...it was awesome!!!

Of those 2 guys, I'm making it B-Rolle

Yeah more than likely. Our secondary is a weakness and devoting our best playmaker back there in Hines to stopping Denard would benefit Michigan.

Sabino would be good for a game like tomorrow. His great speed would make him an ideal spy for a guy like Robinson. But I guess we'll have to wait for that til next year.
  • darbypitcher22
    He definately would be.

I think Rolle plays a little bit better in space than Hines does anyways
  • jordo212000
Make Robinson beat us with his arm and when he runs you better punish him
  • darbypitcher22
    ^^^^

I really think that you've got to do that and force him to make all his reads, I still don't think he reads secondaries that well yet, and if you take away his primary and he decides to take off, you've got to tackel well in space

    Can't wait.

Biggest sports day of the year for me.

Gotta be at a wrestling tournament today watching my son. Sad I'm going to miss most of the game.

With all due respect to Ohio State & Michigan fans "The Game" is played on December 11th in Philadelphia.

    Good luck today. Go Bucks.

As a veteran I enjoy the Army-Navy game as much as anyone BUT to call that "The Game"? It might be The Game for cadets and midshipmen! lol

    Go Bucks. BEAT MICHIGAN!!!
