Uh, ok? So being a fan means you blindly think they are going to win every week? Not so fast my friend. OSU will win this big. Fan or not does not change that.

    Go Bucks.

Get it done and wait out the screwed up system. I don't think we have anything to worry about. If we win, we're in the BCS.

Nobody associated with those games are dumb enough to not take Ohio State if the opportunity presents itself

OSU is definitely in a BCS game as long as they win.

God I wish we had a playoff.

This year's version of the Buckeyes has been a huge disappointment because of this. This was the season that Ohio State was supposed to steam roll through the Big 10, win the NC, and Perfect Pryor was expected to challenge for the Heisman. It was to be the dream season Buckeye fans have come to expect.

Most fans of most teams would be setting mattresses on fire on High Street and peeing rented beer in back alleys with Brutus after their team just won their 10th game of the season. But since I'm the most negative Buckeye fan on OC I'll gladly admit I'm not quite as excited as that.

A win is a win is a win. But the way the Buckeyes are doing it this year doesn't give me warm fuzzies. And while some Buckeye fans pout and lament that the pollsters aren't showing Ohio State much love, it's my humble yet always negative opinion that even at 10-1, the Buckeyes should count their blessings that they are at least ranked in the Top 10.

The Buckeyes get a B+/A- grade on their record but a D+ for style points this year.

While Michigan's defense SUCKS big time, I'm still not confident the Buckeyes will have an easy time even in The Shoe. Michigan will hang tough for 3 quarters but the Buckeyes will wear the weasels down enough by the 4th quarter to walk away with a 10 point victory, a tie for the Big 10 championship, and a possible BCS bid.

For most teams that's fantastic. For those of us who thought this was going to be a dream year, it's just another disappointing Buckeye season.

Those of your ilk are small minded and star crossed. There were more "experts" picking Iowa and Wisconsin instead of Ohio State to win the Big Ten. Be grateful instead of delusional.

The "experts" may have been picking Iowa and Wisconsin, but Buckeye faithful of all sorts of ilk were banging the "this is our year drum" heading into the 2010 campaign. I, for one, have come to have high expectations from the Buckeyes knowing full-well Ohio State will manage to have a t least one Wisky, Purdue, Michigan State, USC, Penn State, etc. hiccup every season. It's the way of things. That's hardly delusional.

With regard to being grateful, I always very much appreciate 11-1 seasons...who doesn't?

I've been a Buckeye fan for 55 years. Before that, I was a Michigan fan for my first two years of being old enough to sort of know what football was.
I'm one of those somewhat unusual Buckeye fans who has no problem rooting for the Wolverines as long as they aren't playing the Bucks. I guess living in Ohio and going to school here. marriage, kids, etc etc here has turned me into a full-fledged Buckeye fan. As far as "the game" is concerned, I'll take a one point win. Any win is far better than a loss and this game can be very atypical. Hopefully, both teams enter the Bowl Season with no major injuries.

I think the game could be close 1) because Michigan has a very explosive offense 2) Tressel is very consevative and typically does not take a lot of chances in big games (throw the ball which is Michigan's big weakness.) If the Bucks can get out ahead by 10 points Coach will be satisfied to pound Boom Herron and the boys 20-25 times in a row like he did with Penn State. The problem with Michigan is that you had better keep scoring because sometime during the game they will make a run at you. (even against Wisconsin down 24-0 they made a run in the 3rd quarter) You must keep the pedal down playing these guys, they score too quickly, even if it looks like you are trying to run up the score. I would like to see the Bucks throw at least 30 times and take a lot of deep shots against that secondary.

I think OSU will end up winning this game by a few scores but I also think UM will come out ready to play this game and score on their first drive since OSU for some reason comes out of the gate not ready to play...then they will force Pryor to make a dumb decision at least a couple times...but then I think Hines or B Rolle will end up put a good enough shot on Laces to knock him out of the game for a little bit...which will be bad for michigan's whole team because they won't be able to score w/o Robinson and their d probably won't stop OSU's offense more than twice...
    OSU 48
    UM 24

Sorry, not game related but how early do you need to be to get a space in the Ag lot?
  • Blanket
Michigan has nothing to lose in this game while they can keep Ohio State out of a BCS game if they win which makes this a dangerous game for Ohio State.

It will be a game early, but Ohio State should pull away in the 2nd half and win by a couple scores.

Usually by 9am for a Noon game but scUM week is always a little different. I'd shoot for no later than 8 - 8:30. Arps Hall Parking Garage is kinda a well kept secret and for $10 is a deal. You might slide in there a little later than Ag lot.

I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty nervous about this game just because of Denard and how much better their offense has gotten compared to last year. Thank god their Defense and Special Teams are awful.

The key to beating this Michigan team is just running the hell out of the ball in an effort to shorten the game while limiting Denard's time on the field. Also, on offense you have to avoid turning the ball over at all. Giving UM's offense any extra possesions can be lethal.

I see UM's defense coming out fired up and making plays early. However, I think OSU's running game will really start wear down and kill the will of the defense and OSU will really start to take the game over. They're going to put up some yards and points against us, but I just see our defense being able to stop their offense more times than their defense stopping us.

I'd really like to see Pryor pick up where he left off vs Iowa and be a big factor in the running game this week, whether it be designed runs or broken plays. IMO, we are at our best when he's making plays with his feet. It just seems to open up so much more for our offense.

Bucks open as 17 point favorite. Is that the biggest point spread in this game's history?

I think it's funny hearing the Michigan fans comments. Say the worst and then Saturday you can either say, see told ya you'd win big or if somehow Michigan wins they'll be on here running their mouths like they knew all along Michigan would win.

How the hell was Wisconsin only a 4.5 point favorite and OSU is a 17 point favorite?

^^^the only thing I can come up with is that it's because OSU is at home? it's gotta' be

Well Wiscy did win by 20, so it wasn't a very good line.

They may run there mouth about winning (and why not?), but I really doubt anyone would claim to know they were going to win. That would just be stupid.

Who knows, maybe the combination of Clay being out and it being at Michigan?

Webster you need to really just zip it before Dick Rod's Secret Police find out you have gone turn-coat on the boys. During the Cooper Years (aka the Dark Ages) no matter how badly I knew we were going to get our ass kicked, I would never publically acknowledge it. In fact I would go out of my way to be an even bigger A-hole (and that's going somewhere for me) in conversations with scUM fans. That's what true fans do sparky...grow a pair and support your team or wipe that avatar off your face Benedict Arnold.

During the Cooper years there were quite a few times where we should have beat them on paper. We just sucked and didn't get it done.

1995 and 1996 especially. The 1995 loss still hurts.
Even 1999 and 2000 both teams were close, but OSU could not get it done.
